1 make sure the igniter is getting proper ingition voltage. Does the inducer motor run? Are you getting a fault indication on the circuit board? You should see a red led flash or blink. Make note of the flashes and check the diagnoses table.

Looking for sequence of operation for a lennox mid efficient furnace

When there is a Call for heat, the control delays ignition until combustion air

Blower operation has been proved and pre-purge period

Has elapsed. It then opens the gas valve and generates a

Spark to ignite the burners. Trial for ignition lasts for 7 seconds.

At the same time, the control begins monitoring the

Flame sensor. If the flame current is too weak (less than 1

Micro amp) or if the burners do not ignite (within the 7 second

Ignition trial), the control will shut off spark and the combustion

Air blower and de-energize the gas valve. Flame

Current should be between 1 and 5 micro amps to keep the

Gas valve open.

The control will attempt to ignite the burners up to two more

Times. Each time the control restarts the ignition sequence,

It begins with a 45 second pre-purge. If flame is not sensed

After the third trial, the control locks out. Lockout means that

The control shuts off the gas valve, spark and combustion air

Blower for 60 minutes. At the end of 60 minutes the control

Completely resets and will attempt ignition up to three times.

The control can be manually reset before the end of 60 minutes

By momentarily turning off power to the unit.

No spark on unit

Need more info! Is it a Gas heat unit that is package or split unit? Is it force draft induced? Is there any sounds or audible noise that it is trying to call for heat and ignite? Does the inducer fan spin-up prior to calling for pilot. Is it a pilot light or a Hot surface ingition? Is it a direct spark ignition system?

We have a rheem furnace we replaced the igniter but still getting no spark what else could them problem be the fan works but getting no spark or heat why

Is it a true spark igniter or is it a hot surface igniter? You need to use a volt meter and call for heat. Check to see if you have voltage going to the igniter. If its a spark igniter and you are not getting a reading then it is the module that is the problem. If it is hot surface, then its the control board.

Won't ignite!!!

If the igniter is not sparking on the pilot assy the pilot will not ignite all the time. You or anyone needs to see if the spark is hitting the pilot assy. be careful not to get shocked. My best recomendation would be call a professional to check unit...

Hayward h400 (electronic ignition) does not light. Jumped our pressure & limiter switches. Change gas valve. Still not lighting. Have plenty of spark. Help!!

If you have a multi-meter check for 24 vac between OR & W at the board or on the gas valve (OR & W are the 2 wires that go to the gas valve). Check the voltage while the igniter is sparking.

No ignition

Yes. Gas ignitors either spark or glow. Find a way to look at the ignitor, even if you have to use a mirror. If it sparks or glows, figure out why the gas isn't getting into contact with the ignitor. If it doesn't spark or glow, the ignitor is probably bad, but the controller might not be sending it electricity (bad controller). This is what electrical meters are for. Checking for voltage at the ignitor will tell you if the controller is telling it to ignite.
