Question about Hoover 24 in. HD97E Free-standing Dishwasher
The tension on my Hoover dishwasher door has gone the door just drops down hard if you don't hold on to it all the way down
A metal bad with a spring on each end is used to couner balance the door. Take off the curved plastic moulding at the front bottom 2 screws at front and 2 underneath.
Then remove as many screws as you can that secures the left hand casing you just need to get to left hand side near the bottom.
Once there you can check if both springs are secure it is probable that one of these has become dislodged you can get some pliers and bend the hooks better so that it will not happen again.
