Hello, this can be a problem withnthe control board, capacitor, or the motor itself is bad. Try jumping the L1 wire with the low voltage motor wire , if this gets the motor running the control board is bad. If the board apperas fine and you have power to the motor then try to spin the blower wheel by hand, if this starts the motor then the capacitor is bad and will need to be replaced. if none of the above work the motor will need to be replaced.

SOURCE: furnace blower motor

I would check the "G" wire at the Thermostat and make sure that it has a solid connection. The other end screws on to a terminal in the furnace. Check this connection as well. This green(G) wire is what activates the 120v relay on the circuit board. You can test this by turning the thermostat to the off position and then jumping the 24v R terminal with the 24v G terminal at the furnace. if the fan comes on then the problem is in the thermostat wire or the thermostat itself.

SOURCE: Carrier 58 Series Furnace Blower Motor Won't Shut Off

Yes. If the high limit is tripped, the furnace will bring on the fan continuously until the limit resets. Often, they will not reset if tripped repeatedly. If the furnace is too large for your application, you probably are not able to move enough air to keep the heat exchanger cool enough.

SOURCE: I have a lennox G26Q3-75-2 furnace it ignites you

Hello, most likely the capacitor has failed and needs to be replaced. the capacitor is a small oval or round can with either two or three prongs on it. When a capacitor goes bad the motor has trouble starting.

i don't know. it may be your blower or your motor that needs to be inspecvted. be very careful. shut off power to furnace. turn thermostat to lowest setting. shut off circuit breaker for furnace or remove fuse for furnace. open blower panel; and pull drive belt [ i f furnace has one ]
that turns the blower. if it turns, the blower is OK i suspect the motor needs repair. https://www.repairclinic.com/RepairHelp/Furnace-Repair/36-383--/Coleman-Furnace-Troubleshooting

Goodman Furnace that turns on and fires on all 4 chambers but blower fan does not come on then everything stops and starts flashing 4 red lights.

It does sound like a bad blower motor but the power that is supplied to the motor comes from a solid state control board which could be the problem.

Rheem classic 80 fan motor on furnace hums will not turn on

Have you checked the capacitor? Try spinning the blower wheel by hand, if this gets the motor going you have a bad capacitor. If not, the motor will need to be replaced.

Furnace lights fan comes on then fan goes off furnace stays light until overtemp takes it out code flashes 4

Have some one hold the bottom door safety switch, turn furnace on wait until heating fan relay clicks, and check at terminal (Heat) & terminal (neutral or where all the white wires are located on the control board) for 115 volts to 120 volts. If voltage is present replace blower motor, if voltage drops out while running then replace control board.Turn power off to furnace, open bottom door and feel blower motor with hand, if motor is real hot replace motor. you can not oil this type of motor, it has to be replaced along with the compacitor. Good luck.

LENNOX FURNACE WONT FIRE BREAKER WAS TRIPPED CAME ON FOR 2 MINUTES THEN SHUT OFF WITH BURNING SMELL AND WONT COME ON.

I would turn the furnace off, locate where the blower motor is, usually near the filter.. If you are capable,
reach in and try to turn the blower wheel. If does not
move, its possible the motor is bad.

If it is a multi-speed blower, change the heat spped to a different speed and see if the breaker trips, if it does then the indoor blower motor is probably bad
