To add wireless to your wired router, you need an Wireless Access point. And when you get it you have to set the MAC address of the router into the Wireless Access point, in order for them to talk to each other. An Access point will probably cost you more than it would if you purchased a new wireless router. I would buy a wireless router, and sell the wired router on Craig's list or something.

Where can I get a wireless LAN adapter for my TV, model number:32D5900?

The WIS9ABGN should work... they're about $170 on amazon.com... the Fenvi n600 should also work. That's only about $50 on amazon - Smart Tv Wireless Adapter for Samsung Tv Instead of Wis09abgn Wis12abgnx - either of those plug into one of the USB ports

You could also use a wireless media adapter like the Linksys WUMC710 - Linksys Wireless AC Universal Media Connector WUMC710 (~$35) - wireless media adapters like that plug into the ethernet port instead of the USB port, and 'look' to the TV just like a hard-wired ethernet connection.

You could also go with a set of Powerline adapters... one connects to the TV's ethernet port, and the other connects to a network switch (e.g. the 4 LAN ports on the typical home router), then they talk to each other at 5GHz to 20GHz through the copper wiring in your home (at those frequencies the signal travels mostly on the outside of the wire, due to "skin effect").
A 'starter set' of those will also cost you about $35.

I have 7 wired computers operating from a Linksys BEFSR81 Router / 8 port switch. I would like to add a Netgear N150 Wireless Router so my kids can access the internet from their Wii in the basement . Can...

If my memory is correct even though there are 8 ports you can only use 7 of them. take out the 7th one or a couple of them if you can put them into the netgear. basically follow this: modem to linksys to netgear. as long as that path exsits they will all work. make sure to encrypt the wireless so your neighbors dont slow down your network speed or delete any of your files inadvertantly. You need to unplug from the wall electricity and have all computers off when you do this though so that they can all find then new paths. If you happen to have set up network paths with numbers suc as 192.168.123.5 and so on then you will either need to return them all to automatic or recheck these numbers after as both routers will port semi duplicate paths. When pluggin them in you may want to start plug in all the ethernet ports, then, modem, then plug in linksys plug in netgear.
now turn on all computers and printers and they should find the path automatically.

So, both computers are on the lan segment of 2wire? How many lan ports on 2 wire? Can you do ipconfig from the command line on both computers to see what the addresses are? In most cases, the first 3 octets xxx.yyy.zzz.### should be the same. If not, then 2wire is configured for vlan and the computers are actually on different lan segments & cannot communicate with each other.
Another thing you can do to troubleshoot is to ping each other's address.
You have to first establish there is communication between the 2 systems before troubleshooting further. Otherwise, you could be wasting a lot of time.

First unplug your router, then unplug your modem and for 10 seconds. Next plug the modem back in and wait it to reboot(on mine this a series of 4 lights that light up in sequence, when the 4th light stops flashing, reboot is complete). Finally plug your router back in.

If you are looking for a wired connection, all you need is a Ethernet cable to be plugged in to the LAN part of the router. If you want it wirelessly connected, run the wireless software in your laptop. In the available wireless networks, choose your network and type in the passphrase ( if you have wireless security enabled ) . This should help you connected .
Hope this helps

Does the router work with the wired port connection? It's entirely possible that the router just went belly-up on you ...Linksys is an awesome brand, but sometimes it happens.

If the wired part works, the wireless transmitter inside may have gone bad. Best to just get a new one for about $50 ...but keep the old one in case you need a wired connection somewhere else around the house :)
