Spilled soda on a digital camera and now it won't take pictures. What can I do?

Most likely the some of the camera's electronics has been damaged.
The cost of repair may be a little less than a new camera. You can ask for a quote but they may charge for a quote unless you go ahead with the repair.
I recommend you put your money towards a new camera which most likely be better and may have more features that your old camers.
If the SD memory card is OK then you can use it as an addition memory card in the new camers.

My Sanyo camera has 2 black dots (like polka dots) on the screen and a black line at the bottom. They don't affect the picture but is a problem when trying to focus the camera.

Hello Kitomari4

OK, the fact that you only notice the the lines and spots on the lcd itself, means that the lcd itself is damaged. This is most likely due to an internal crack on the lcd. I would suggest you get the screen replaced at your nearest camera repair centre.

Please feel free to let me know if you need ant further assistance.

Kind regards

Cracked screen

Hi

The warranty covers manufacturing defects and such, camera stops working completely etc, cracked screen is not one of those things.

You must have dropped your purse or something must have pressed on the screen and caused it to crack.

I think they will charge you for a new screen.

Fuji F50fd suddenly has only a white screen when turned on. No display at all. It still takes photos, however you cannot see them or see if you are zooming or see any menus, etc. Camera was in a case in...

Either the screen ribbon has moved in it's socket or it has split. Only way to find out is to open the camera. A good light source and a magnifier will show any breaks in the ribbon, could also try a trick with a felt tipped pen to see if the ribbon is split. But before that make sure it's seated correctly

Olympus Digital FE-170 LCD screen is shattered.

You may be able to buy a new screen for your camera and fit it yourself.
It takes a bit of know how but can be done if you take your time.
Check the internet to see if a replacement screen can be bought for your camera.
Check the price if you think it's not worth the hassle
buy a new camera and get a bigger purse - better still buy a camera bag.

Abt digital camera canon power shot A250

When I turn my camera on my starting screen will appear and it will stay on for only 30 seconds and then turn itself back off. The shutter does not move. I think it is jammed. I dropped my purse and the camera was inside of it. I think it may have been the cause of my problems. Im not sure what the correct term is but the part of the camera that sticks out in the front to help focus and get close does not move either. It is slightly out like is is jammed as well... please help I love this camera!
