Treo 700p locks on Access Powered

you have to hardreset your phone it will wipeout your all the data. but it will work
1. Disconnect the Treo from a charger or USB cable.
2. Remove the battery cover and take out the battery.
3. Press and hold Power/Endwhile you insert the battery.
4. When the screen lights up with the logo appears, releasePower/End.
5. Press Up when the Erase all data? prompt appears.
6. Press Up to confirm the hard reset.
7. Go through the steps of setting up the device again by picking a language and calibrating the stylus.


Now your Treo 755p is hard reset.

Factory Reset for Treo 700p and 680 smartphones
If you've set a password on your smartphone, any hard reset will automatically become a Factory Reset. With this method, you'll enter a password and then perform a hard reset.
On your smartphone, launch the Security application.
2.If the Password box says "Unassigned," tap the box and create a password for your smartphone.
3.Once the password has been set, disconnect your smartphone from the AC charger and take off the battery cover. Do not remove the battery yet.
4.Hold down Power/End .
5.While holding down Power/End , remove the battery. Then insert it again.
6.While still holding Power/End , the screen will show the Palm logo and a progress bar. Then the circular Palm Powered logo will appear. Release the power button when you see the Palm Powered logo.
Keep holding the Power button during this screen. When you see this screen, you can release the Power button.
7.A message will appear warning that you are about to erase all the data stored on your smartphone. Press UP.
8.If you performed this reset correctly, the screen will go blank after several minutes, and you will not be able to turn on your device. The charging LED will not light up. (any other activity - such as the Palm OS logo and then the Applications launcher appearing - means the reset was performed incorrectly; try again) 9.Your device will appear "dead." To wake up your smartphone, perform a soft reset.

When you see the first screen (the orange one) hold the UP button as the bar moves across the bottom of the screen. Let go right before the screen goes to the silver logo. If it continues and opens Prefs, then you need to delete the program causing it to reboot. If that doesn't work, Hard Reset.

Now your Treo 755p/700p is hard reset. you should have your info on a folder on your computer. hope this helps.

There are multiple reasons for the phone to go into an endless loop.

Fix #1 - Soft Reset - Take out the battery. On the back of your phone, pop the cover off, remove battery, place battery back in and it will show each screen once and power on normally.

Fix #2 - Hard Reset - To do a hard reset, hold the power button while you replace the battery and then release it when the Palm logo appears.

Fix #3 - Hammer

I have a Treo 700wx with very similar problem that I solved by starting a hard reset by holding down red button while inserting the battery... keep button down until the message comes asking if you are sure you want to do a hard reset.... I hit the space bar to abort it and IT STARTED UP normally ... worth a try... good luck.

While holding the power button and re-inserting the battery will prompt you to choose whether or not to erase all data. If you choose "yes" the phone will reset to factory defaults. This should be done as a last resort, but at this point the phone is not functioning at all. Once restored, you can sync it with your pc or laptop and it will import all of your contacts, notes, favorites, and calenders just as it did before. In the future you may want to think about using an SD card for documents or other important information that could be lost in the event you have to reset again.

I just encountered exactly the same issue.
Was using the phone ended the call and was about to place a call when it started the Death Spiral.
All reset options have no effect. Putting the battery in while holding the sync button will produce a color pattern but no functions are available.
I did call Palm USA tech support - apparently they are aware of the issue but have no free solution that they would offer me - for $199 I could send it to them for repair.

make sure first of all that there arent any screws missing or loose in the back by removing the battery cover....thats can cause the keypad buttons to not have a good connection to circuit board... if thats ok then you can use a toothbrush and some alcohol (denatured alcohol if possible) to rub and clean the keypad. If all that fails, I know that Sprint offers repair for their phones.
