Trying to install lexmark 1200series can't find cd-rom what can i do

For the Lexmark installation disc, please contact Lexmark Technical Support Center for assistance.
You can also download and install the Lexmark Z25 Printer Driver by visiting the Lexmark website.

Try to use the Lexmark P6250 driver from the Lexmark website at http://bit.ly/9GDVnj. Select your operating system (if needed) by clicking on "change OS". (see image below)


Then click on "FILTER". (see image below)


Click on the driver under "Recommended Downloads". Download and install the file. Follow the instructions in the software.

Go to the website, and choose your OS and download and install the drivers and software. then restart your computer.

The website will have the software "drivers" for you to download that your printer model's installation CD-ROM originally came with. This is necessary for your computer to recognize what kind of printer you're plugging in to it.

The printer's installation CD-ROM had the exact same drivers that you will be downloading so it will be like if you’re getting the installation CD-ROM again but only via the internet instead of having an actual CD-ROM so don't worry about it.

Some generations of people are terrified of using the internet for no other reason then FEAR of the unknown and that is not my problem. Just be brave.

If this is an upgrade to Windows 7 of a previously installed printer, please view the link "Upgrading to Windows 7?" at the top of the page.

If you connect and turn on the printer then turn on your computer it should start the found new hardware wizard. don't do anything until or IF it asks you to install the disc, the make sure you direct it to find the files under the correct drive letter which is usually "D" or "E" .Good luck, .Dana

You can try getting in touch with Lexmark at any of their offices here and request for a second copy of the CD ROM installer disc

or

you can download the appropriate driver software for your specific printer here.

when you try to hook up your printer in your comuputer is the printer detected? where you able to install the driver for your printer? was the printer configuration setting specially type of connection set to usb if the printer is connected to usb.

i do not have a cd for lexmark printer x1240. i cannot install

Sounds like your CD ROM drive is bad. Go the following link, click on your operating system and download the latest driver directly from Lexmark. http://www.downloaddelivery.com/en/cpddrivers/346.html Once it is saved, double click on the file and follow the on screen instructions.
