Question about Philips Magnavox 9P6034C 60" Rear Projection Television

1 Answer

Phillips Magnavox 9P6040-C101-60" Rear Projection Television

I purchased this TV brand new in 1999 and it has worked fine until recently, when the TV is turned on after being off for a little while the screen shrinks down to about 50% of the actual screen, it will do this for about 2-5 minutes and then it works fine, what is it and is it worth fixing?

You can get a repair kit for the shrinking/expanding on www.magnavoxhelp.com. This is a common problem with this model.

The cooling fluid in the CRT's need to be replaced. This is a common issue with NAP projection TV's. The old fluid needs to be drained then the CRT faces cleaned then refill with new fluid.
