Question about LG DLE5977 Electric Dryer

Replacing belt on DLE5977

Where can I find instructions or atleast a diagram of dryer so I can check and possibly replace belt. Starting making noise, sounds like belt is worn and has rotated or is out of alignment on pulleys.

Quite a job since the back does not come off these units. Will need to do the following: 1. Remove the top (3 screws at back and then slide off). 2. Remove the control panel (1 screw on each backside corner, then pull up and forward to snap it out). 3. Remove the front panel (4 screws at top and 2 screws in front of filter housing, unplug door switch and then lift off). 4. Remove the front bulkehead (4 screws, 1 at each tab). 5. Replace belt and check pulley (idler arm) location. Then do the reverse to reassemble. This may be best left to a pro if you have not done this before.

LG dryer. the drum will not turn with wet towels in it. When it turns it does so slow and the contents do not tumble but get bundeled up in knots. The belt seems ok, it did make a "squeeky"...

If indeed the belt is OK, with it's grooved side touching the drum, and the belt running in the motor drive pulley (not on the smooth motor shaft), then you most likely need to replace at least one of the four drum support rollers.

I do not believe the problem is with your motor.
I think it is your drum rollers in need of lubrication or replacement.
Replacing the drum rollers is a LOT CHEAPER than replacing a motor

ALWAYS UNPLUG YOUR DRYER BEFORE STARTING ANY REPAIRS
Your problem sounds like drum rollers have flat spots on them or in need of lubrication, or maybe your drum belt has slipped off of the idler arm pulley.
Check the belt to see if it has slipped off of the idler arm pulley and also to check the belt condition for wear.
Be sure to note the route of the belt, this will come in handy when you go
to reinstall the belt.
Check your drum rollers for flat spots or wear, if they have flat spots
or wear on them replace them.
If the drum rollers don't have flat spots or wear on them then they probably
only need lubrication. Lubricate the shaft of the rollers with a good grade
of machine oil such as 3 in One oil.
Reassemble the dryer, plug back in. This should solve your noise problem.

Making a rumbleing noise

Your problem sounds like drum rollers have flat spots on them or in need of lubrication.
If you have a front loading machine, Unplug the dryer, remove the front of the dryer. This will expose the drum and belt, remove the drum and belt and this will expose the drum rollers.
Check your rollers for flat spots, if they have flat spots on them replace them.
If they don't then they probably only need lubrication. Lubricate the shaft of the rollers with a good grade of machine oil such as 3 in One oil. Reassemble the dryer, plug back in. This should solve your noise problem.
