Question about Hotpoint Washing Machines
Not always the pressure switch itself.
years since i saw one of these machines so just take this as guidence.
remove back panel and pressure switch is i remember on rhs near top - it has a small diameter hose going to it. remove this hose and substitute another hose of the same diameter. put on fill and pressurise the hose by mouth. you should hear a click and the water will stop. this localises the fault. if the water does stop, then the fault is:
split in the small diameter hose.
blockage in the small diameter hose.
blockage in the air chamber - the part the other end of the small hose is connected to
fault is more often one of these three rather than the pressure switch itself
