HP Officejet G55 All-in-One. I installed using Windows 2000 Add Printer Wizard. It automatically pops up to install anything. My printer copies in color, I can see color in Print Preview mode. Prints only black/white.

In Control Panel-Printers-select mine (G55)-right click on Properties. In General Tab in the Features area the display says "Color:NO"

There is no way to select another option. All in the Features area are Deselectable (Is this a word?), including "paper available". Do I uninstall printer? Do I just try to reinstall using the Wizard? Can I install not using Wizard? How do I get rid of Wizard?

The above doesn't work. Maybe I wasn't clear. I have an Officejet g55 and installed it via Printer Wizard using HP site for G55. I get no color on printing. I get color only when copying and viewing in Print Preview mode. I am using Windows 2000 Professional non-networked just my personal computer.

In Control Panel>Printers>select mine (G55)>right click on Properties. In General Tab in the Features area the display says "Color:NO"

How to print a config page on a Ricoh printer

On Ricoh printers, the configuration page (also called the Config page) is an information page that can be printed out with detailed data about the machine's status. The Config page shows the printer's copy count, various network settings, and current firmware versions, among other things. One nice feature of the Config page (on most printer models) is that it shows how much toner is left in the cartridge or bottle, so you can find out if you'll need to order more soon.

Follow the steps below to print a Config page from a stand-alone Ricoh printer.

A. Turn the printer on and wait for it to warm up.

B. Press the Menu button.

C. Scroll through the list of submenus using the up and down arrow keys until you see List/Test Print, then hit the OK button.

D. Look for the Config Page option, and hit OK again.

The configuration page will print out, and depending on that specific printer, it might be two pages rather than one. Whether the printer is black and white or color, the configuration page will be printed in black and white. If you want to print a test page in color, scroll further down the List/Test Print menu and you should see something called the Color Demo page.

To print a Config page from a multifunction Ricoh printer (one that scans and copies as well as prints), the steps are similar, but some of the machine's buttons are different. Multifunction printers typically don't have the Menu button, so you would press User Tools instead and then go to Printer Features. From there, the process is pretty much the same as described above.

Bad print quality

Follow the steps listed below to print the PQ troubleshooting pages. These pages consist of one procedure page and five color test pages.
  1. Print a copy of this Web page and walk over to the printer you are troubleshooting.
  2. Load either 8.5 x 11-inch paper (letter) or A4 in Tray 2 popup_i.gif of your printer.
  3. Press the Menu menu_button.gif button to enter the MENU on the control panel of the printer.

  4. Press the Down arrow down.gif button to highlight DIAGNOSTICS.

  5. Press the Select select.gif button to select DIAGNOSTICS.

  6. Press the Down arrow down.gif button to highlight PQ TROUBLESHOOTING.

  7. Press the Select select.gif button to select PQ TROUBLESHOOTING.

  8. Pick up the PQ troubleshooting pages.

  9. Return to your computer to continue the troubleshooting procedure.
The message PRINTING... PQ TROUBLESHOOTING displays on the control panel until the printer finishes printing the PQ troubleshooting pages. The printer returns to the Ready state after printing the PQ troubleshooting pages.

I want to test printer with no conection to the PC only test page. What buttons Can I press for to print test page directly of printer?

Hi, you can't print a test page directly from the printer, but since it's a copier also, you can copy a page of text or graphics to make sure everything prints okay. Just place a piece of paper on the glass and press either the black or color copy button. (The computer must be on to make a copy.)

Brother MFC 5860cn magenta color is not printing. I printed the test page and did cleaning on it but the magenta color is not showing on the test page. The only colors showing are Black, Yellow, Cayan.

This can happen if the ink dries out for a long time. Try to power flush the color that doesn't work.

Press the Menu/Set, *, 2, 8, 6 and 4 keys within two seconds. (if you fail to complete the correct key sequence within two seconds, press the Stop key to try again).

press 7 then 6 then 4 then start black copy. This will fill the tubes with ink.

press 7 then 6 then 3 then start black copy. You may use the right arrow to choose the color you want to flush before you press the black copy button.

Press 99 to exit maintenance mode

Press the ink button and do a test print for print quality and see if the color you flushed works. If not, try again.

This is the only way to fix the dried print head. Otherwise you have to replace the print head, in which case, you might as well buy a new printer.

The printer prints fine in black, but will not print in color.

try to make a color copy from the all-in-one and if it prints good, then try to print a test page from the computer and check whether the color is printing or not, if the color is printed then check whether the print in grayscale option is enabled or not, if it is enabled please disable it.

After replacing my color cartridge my printer won't print in color. but it will copy color pages perfectly.

When you go to print from IE check the prefrences and see if it is set to Monochrome. It should be under the Advanced tab.

HP LaserJet 3550 spits out blank paper when job sent from computer but prints fine when printing directly from printer

Try connecting the printer via the USB port on either one of the computers. Then test if the machine prints fine then likely possibility is that the Network interface card is faulty remove the network card and install in a different slot and test. If the same thing happens then reinstall the drivers and test.

Hope this helps
Thanks J

No Color Suppy Error Code

Try cleaning the print connectors on the cartridge housing area with a q-tip. This should resolve your problem, or else try to run ink cartridge test on your copier. Let me know if this fix your problem.
