Question about Audio Players & Recorders

1 Answer

Amplifier will only put out "faint" music, etc, even when the volume is turned all the way up

My kenwood KA-127 stereo integrated amplifier
RC-70/RC-70E/RC-70X remote control unit

is not pushing any volume into my rack system.

This may sound silly, but please check to be sure that the tape monitor switch in not engaged. Update this if that is not the problem.

How do i get a free service manual download of a kenwood ka-127 model stereo integrated amplifier in any digital format?

I doubt you will be able to find a digital copy, and Kenwood dropped their home audio line 2+ decades ago. I probably have a hard copy of the manual, as I was a Kenwood Factory Service Center for over 25 years, however, it is not free. If you would like more information, please visit my website at audioserviceclinic.com. Thank you.

I have a kenwood ka-94 and it still plays music but if I turn the volume up the speakers start making a popping noise and the speakers are not the problem so I need to know what the problem could be...

It does sound like your speakers. But it could be the output transistor are going bad. As you increase the volume causing more current to go thru them it make a clipping sound. If you have a different set of speaker try and see if the popping is replicated. If not have some check your receiver out.

lets go for the simple things first. Make sure that the unit is not in tape monitor mode. If it is in tape monitor, you are hearing the small amount of crosstalk present in any system.
