Question about Mitsubishi WD-62525 62" Rear Projection HDTV

1 Answer

Video noise For several months we have experienced video noise on screen--does not matter which signal--directv--dvd or photo memory cards. It is snow like and moves around the screen. Is this something we should have repaired or could it possibly be noise from the power cord--we have an expensive surge protecter connected.

Noise on all inputs ?
do you have these connected via RCA or svideo connections.
If you can use the digital inputs hdmi
Here are some other ideas
inplug all your inputs and see if you still have the noise bars
if you do try unplugging any device in the same circuit
do them one at a time to see if you can find the unit causing the noise
be sure and have all of your power and input cables away from each other where they do crosss try to get the junctions as close to 90 degrees as possible

The sound on my 95 hitachi bis screen tv works but there is just lines and snow on the screen, there is no color to the screen.

The tuner is bad, try directingthe signal to the Video input, and put the set in Video mode, you will also have a better picture,,use RCA cables from signal box to TV.

Vertical green lines

It sounds like th green LCD panel laminations or bonding has separated and this is causing your green lines. The optical block would have to be replaced to solve the problem.

TV Snow and Static Sound

Sound like its all cabled wrong So its from the source, (wall satalight Whatever ) to VCR in then VCR out to TV, Now when the VCR fires up it tunes the RF output to Chanel 4 and has a strong signal, that over rides just about every thing. Simply way to stop this is one of two ways, press the TV/VCR button on the VCR, or simply turn off the VCR to let the signal pass through.

Mitsubishi WS-65819 2002 rear projection

1)possible bad RF modulator (the small box the A or B signal first goes thru) 2)Bad tuner (mounted on signal board) 3)or missing voltage to run tuner You could replace signal PCB,but that gets a little pricey.

WS-65807 picture goes black when using HiDef Signal

Tank, If the unit operates correctly on DVD then we can assume that the signal chain and display is operational. Can you substitute the Directv receiver to rule the box out as part of the problem? I know they came out and checked but how exhausting was the testing? Have you checked signal strength on the directv on screen setup? Low or marginal signal strength could cause intermittent blanking. When the screen goes dark does the audio continue? please let us know..

FUZZY (SNOWY) PICTURE

When you say you have tried all the inputs you are not clear if you mean tuner, vcr, dvd, aux, etc. If you are talking about only the cable input it sounds like you have a bad tuner. To obtain picture in picture there are 2 tuners in your set. This would explain why the small picture is ok while the main picture is bad. You should be able to swap the signals (see your ops manual). Try this. If the snow moves the one tuner is bad. If you have put other signals in (besides cable)such as dvd then the problem is in the matrix circuitry where the two signals merge. Either problem should be easy for a good tech to solve and not cost a whole lot.
