Question about Lexmark Wheelwriter 1500 Typewriter
Hi , I have a lexmark 1500, which intermittanly types over previous letters. I have oiled the print assembly slide bar and have replaced the type wheel. Neither have helped. With the power off, the print assembly slides easily with no binding....? Any suggestions appreciated, Thanks
There are a few possibilities, first check to see if it is in the language mode, light on the rt. side code "L" will get you out of it. If that is OK the keyboard may be selecting the wrong keyboard. Press and hold code key, press and release the "L" key, type 001, release the code key. If this solves the problem. check the keyboard connectors. If they seem to be fully plugged in you will need a keyboard.
