Depending on the model of the printer you may want to take it to a service center, such as a computer repair shop.

If it is a higher end model, I would definitely take it in for service....the reason being some of the internal parts that would need to be changed are tricky to do....you don't want to mess with it.

If it is a lower end model such as a $25-50 printer, you may be better off just purchasing a new one for the cost may be higher to fix it then its worth.

Hope that clears some of it up!

Toshiba e studio 250 The print is comming out partially faded. The tona is full, so I am not sure what the problem is, any ideas please? Thanks Anuja

Hi

It might be one of the part life had ended like fuser drum unit life ends or transfer belt unit life ends. Try to check this parts in the LCD screen in LAN setting. or PART LIFE. See if how much percent is their life parts.

Replacing this parts would normal bring your print out to good printing.

Or adjust the contrast setting in the control LCD menu screen to darker setting to make print out more darker.

I am getting an end of service life message. what

The printer is telling you that some parts are worn-out -- "end of life" -- and your printer either needs to have some parts replaced. Or, replace the entire printer, after comparing the cost with an estimate of parts/labour to fix the old printer.

" parts inside your printer are at the end of their service life.

This usually happens when the waste pads become full and need to be replaced.
You can try to do it yourself like this guy did on his printer:
http://www.hm2k.com/posts/parts-inside-your-printer-are-at-the-end-of-their-service-life

you can actually just use the software to reset the printer but eventually the pads will overflow and start to leak.

The last option is too take it to Epson and ask for a quote.
