Question about Dryers
There is no heat on my electric dryer. I am not good and scared of electricity, but also have been out of work since June and am single mom 2 kids (clothes keep coming) and must fix this myself. Can anyone guide me through what to check. It runs fine, but is not in the least bit warm. I have changed all the button settings, checked the breaker, cleaned the filter - vancumed as far as i could in the exhaust tube. Help!
if you can use a multi meter, then i can guide you which part to order. if you would have the wiring diagram of your unit then it is much better. plus basic tools to open your dryer. phillips screwdriver, 1/4 hexnut driver, and a multi-tester to test continuity.
90 percent of dryer not heating is the thermal cutoff switch. if you can test yours, then that would help you and save you a lot of $$$.
tnx 4 using fixya,
