Question about Whirlpool MH1150XM Convection/Microwave Oven

1 Answer

Short circuited Whirlpool MH1150XM while changing the bulb underneath. Need help to fix it, thanks :)

I was changing bulb without unpluging underneath the microwave and somehow short circuited - it sparked and died. Now control panel is the only thing working. Oven, oven light inside, turn table, heat - don't work. Is there any fuse that I need to replace or do I need a new one (/costly repair)?

It hasn't tripped my cricuit breaker. Any helpful suggestions highly appreciated. Thanks!

We had the very same problem. We replaced the board behind the control panel. Now we have an -F6- on the screen. We are trying to locate a scematic to make sure we have the wires conected properly. We were also told to check the wires, one or more of them may have been burnt when we changed the light and heard the two pops. Thanks Heidi

The range-top light blew and now replacement bulbs

My Whirlpool/Roper microwave/hood combo has the same problem. I replaced the bulb twice, checked the bulb and it works, but not in the microwave. I wrote to Whirlpool asking about the problem. Haven't heard from them yet.

I had this same error. It appeared to be a stuck relay. With the door open, unplug the microwave. Then whack on either side of the keypad a couple times. This fixed mine.
