Canon pixma mp272 printer. replaced black cartridge for the first time and now it wont print. getting error p08 on the printer and error 5200 on my laptop screen

Hello Hellen,
the error P08 is error for abnormal temperature in print head. Aa possible cause the ink cartridge is faulty and needs to be replaced.The same error description is for 5200 on your PC.

I recommend that you try to replace ink cartrigde under warranty in store where you bought it. If after that you still have error, take the printer to the service center because they logic board ( pcb ) is faulty.

Printer won't start. On computer, it says Error code 5200. On printer, it is flashing P08. What does this mean? Any advice?

This is a Print Head Overheating Error. You are probably printing a lot of photos all in one go and the head is overheating. Try again after it has cooled down and do not print so many pages all in one go. The P08 just means it stopped printing at page 8.

Canon error p08 Problem

Follow the instructions step by step

1. Turn off printer, cable power still plug in,
2. Press Stop/Reset button don't release
3. Press Power Button don't release and than release Stop/Reset button
4. Press Stop/Reset button 2X , wait until service mode to " 0 "
5. Turn off printer, cable power still plug in
6. Press Stop/Reset button don't release
7. Press Power Button don't release and than release Stop/Reset button
8. Press Stop/Reset button 4X , wait until service mode to " 1 "
9. Turn off printer, and loose cable power, wait one minute.
10. Connect cable power, turn on printer again, now this printer ready to use.

My Canon MP270 printer shows the following error 5200 P08

P08 (Print head temperature rise error) : 6. P08 (Print head temperature rise error): thermalprint head temperature exceeds a threshold.
Replace the new cartridge print head and / or change a new logic board.

This error is wasted ink full reset the printer press reset button and hold then press on relase and press twice reset button is now in maintenance mode to reset wasted pad ink press 4 times the reset button then turn the printer button on/off

Repair, Canon MP258 code error P08

1. The printer is off and plug the power cord.
2. Press the button STOP / RESET and hold, then press and hold the POWER button
3. POWER button still press, release the STOP / RESET, then press the STOP / RESET 2 times in a state of the power button is pressed
4. Release both buttons simultaneously
5. The printer will proceed in a while, then the LCD panel will show the number zero (0)
6. Computer will detect NEW DEVICE (Canon MP258 series Printer (Copy 1)), Ignore it
7. Press the power button, then the printer will turn off. If the printer does not turn off, unplug the power cord.
8. Press the power button again, then the printer will be ready to use.
