Cidco inc caller id box - model # JA-25A-18

How do you change the time & date on a cidco caller id box? It only has 3 buttons - delete & . When you push the button you get no calls -- delete buttons does nothing. Please help - 1st time using this!

    Cidco Caller ID Model type PA 25 number recall. I can't find the info on setting the menu fr4om Spanish to English.

    Hi Misty? I too have the same problem. Currently, I am trying to solve it by the process of elimination. I've found out that if you hold the delete button, the screen will 1st display - NO CALLS -, then SELECT MEM MODE. Then you have the option of choosing 25 NUMBER + NAME, or 64 NUMBER ONLY by pressing either one of the review buttons. There must be a point during the SELECT MEM MODE screen, in which you would be able to change the date and time, along with the choice of which caller ID display that you'd like to utilize. I'm still working on it, and have a Lot of patience, so if i resolve this dilemma :o[)! i'll be happy, willing and able to pass it on to you and the "information highway." I went to the CIDCO site and there is no "contact us" link that I could find...yet.

    If anyone else has assisted with this already, i'd appreciate any additional assistance towards my relief of this good old tech puzzle :o[)!

    Good Call {:o) 66542...for Misty there, Annnnd it's been a while, buut I still have the same prob. I requested a call back twice to make sure which way to place the phone lines in, (should be in/left=out & out=right) because it's not labeled on the ID box) and to set the time - date, then I got a "No Data Sent" reading both times. Surrre wish I had the Manual for it!

    I'd like to "Check it before i Chuck it!" {:o)

    Any solution for This dilemma?

When a call is received it will automatically set the time and date. To change the display contrast hold down the 'delete' button while toggling one of the other buttons. Hold the delete button down until the 'select,mem,mode' is displayed and choose between '25 name & number' or '64 numbers' . Make sure the batteries are good and the batt indicator in top left corner of display is off. I think that is all the features this early model unit was capable of.

I have a Cidco 2-Line Caller ID. It's always been in English and know today it's in Spanish. How do I change back English?

When replacing the batteries, hold the Delete button down while inserting the batteries. Once you have good batteries installed, the date and time will automatically reset once you get your first incoming call.

Ours switched to Spanish too, sometime in the past month or so and we don't know how to get it back to English either.

    We unplugged the unit, phone lines and power, and removed the battery. When we installed a new battery, we had a choice of Spanish or English The date and time was automatically set when the first phone call came in.

Hi drkossvt,

The way to erase all calls on the cidco cw99 caller ID is to arrow into the caller ID list and hold the Delete button for about 6 seconds. The screen will display "- NO CALLS -"
Note: it does not matter which Caller ID entry you arrow to before you hold the Delete button. This also works if you are on the "- END OF LIST -" screen.
If you want to delete a single call, arrow to that call and press the Delete button twice.

I was able to reset my GTE Cidco SA-60A-20 caller ID unit with the following procedure:

1. Remove the battery.
2. Wait several minutes after the display fades away.
3. While holding down the "Delete" key, reinsert the battery.
4. Release the "Delete" key.
5. The unit will come up showing a boot process and end with a screen allowing you to choose the English or Spanish language.

How ddo I change the date?


The time and date will update automatically when you receive a call as long as you receive caller id from the telephone service provider. Current time and date are part of the Caller ID data stream. Once the time is received the Fanstel unit will keep time from there and it will be updated every time you get a new call.

Need to reset date and time on caller ID on Durabrand phone Model #5562


Hello,

Hold down the Delete button and press the Down button. LCD settings show. Keep pressing the Delete button until you get to Hour and Minutes. Change the hour and minutes, then keep pressing the Delete button until the screen is normal again.

How to change area code/prefix on USWEST CIDCO CT-200


Hold down the two review buttons for several seconds until it asks what language you want. Once there, you will be presented with a series of questions, followed by two choices. The left arrow button is for the choice on the left; the right arrow button is for the choice on the right. I chose "no" for 1+ dialing, and when I got to the place to enter my area code, I used the numbers on the keypad to enter a nonsense area code. Now the caller ID shows area codes. This was the best I could do, since the manual is long gone.
