Wiring Diagram required

Hi, I have a KRELL AVS Pre-Amp from circa 1999. Due to a problem I had cause to remove the fan to clean it. When switching on there was an extrmely loud buzzing noise and the fan won't work. I possibly put the wiring back wrongly but any comnmbination I have tried doesn't fix it. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for this?

Thanks

    Hi,

Thanks, I phoned Krell in the USA and left a message. They called me back and said they had a printed Diagram but not one online that they could email. I didn't have a fax but they talked me through the wiring and I got it fixed and luckily no other apparent damage! It would still be handy to get a schematic though.

There is no actual Model number, it was the First Surround Sound Pre-Amp from them I think called the AVS or Audio-Visual Standard Dark Grey Front with two half columns in Black at either side about an inch and a half in from the edge, left one with the Standby On/Off switch and the right one with a Massive Black Volume wheel in the centre of the rounded half column.

    Thanks

    Douglas

At this point you may have fried the output stage. Is there a specific model listed on the back? I need that to locate the schematic.

Thanks,
Dan

Thai will require removal of the top cover to move jumpers or program dip switches in proper order. This will be explained in the owners manual which is located at Krells web site.

Hp proliant server is shutting down in every 4-5 hours due to cpu over hitting. its internernel health indicator on chassis is red & externel is Amber. One fan of one smps is not moving.

Hi,
Heat up is mainly due the clogged heat sink and fan etc, which requires to be cleaned. It is strongly recommended that you clean the heat sink etc yourself or seek help from authorized professional at the earliest to avoid any damages to the PC.
If the system fan is not working properly, it may be due to dust inside the fan. This could be due to faulty fan or it may be stuck due to dust etc. In this case, using a compress air for cleaning would be helpful. This will result in heating up of the system and the processor/ graphic unit may burn. Try to clean the fan. You may use Compressed Air can to remove the dust etc. Cleaning and lubricating liquid available commercially can be used to smooth the inside rotating parts of the fa. Also, do check the fan power connection. Give it a try and try to make sure the fan is running. (if not it needs replacement). If you find it faulty, you may find and replace the fan by removing the old/ faulty fan by removing the 4 screws and installing the new one.

Also, make sure that the PC is placed in a well ventilated environment and the air flow the the PC is correct.
The procedure is very simple and I believe immediate action is required to prevent any damage to your machine and data.

Hope it helps! Good Luck!
Thanks for using Fixya!

When i make phono input..The Volume come very big.And all other input selecter volume come normal.

As long as the phono input is only being used for a record deck the most likely cause is a faulty magnetic cartridge pre-amp. If you are connecting any other device to these sockets, remove it and place it in another socket. If you haven't got enough sockets you can get a switching box to solve the problem. If you are getting the problem due to a record deck, make certain it hasn't got a built in pre-amp first, check the cartridge and wiring to it and all deck connections. If still no luck then you will find that you need to replace the pre-amp. It will be a single IC, which can be found by following the wiring from the phono sockets inside the amp.

Blown Fuse

Hello Kilwillie.
Anytime a fuse blows the circuit is being overloaded.
There are a couple of fuses that control your blower. The 30 amp fuse link and a 10 amp fuse for the blower motor relay.
If it is the 30 amp the blower system needs to be checked for the cause of the short.
Positive battery voltage goes to the blower motor and the control switch routes the ground circuit through a resistor to give various fan speeds.
Most common will be the blower motor itself having worn motor shaft bushings or an internal motor short. This will require motor replacement. Also have seen where a mouse has built a nest and it gets caught in the blower fan causing it to overlooad.
If the wire after the blower was shorting to ground the blower would come on high speed and not be your problem

And if the fuse is the 10 amp it appears the fault may lie in the blower motor relay. I believe that would be the only logical solution according to the wiring diagram.

On outside compressor for whole house AC: Critters ate wires. Have Blk & Red power in from breaker. 24vac switched from thermostat. 1 contactor with 24vac coil(original). 1 Capacitor w/ 3 terms...

There should be a wiring diagram on the back of the access panel. If you can't read it, check online for model wiring diagram. Don't guess, you may cause more expensive damage.
