Could not find that model????
I'm assuming you are talking about the fuser, where the paper exits? there are teeth or claws there that are supposed to help guide the paper out, when they get worn they catch the paper and make an accordion. depending on the model of the machine you will have to remove the fuser and take out the paper

Yes, depending on the model you will see 2-4 screws and 1-2 wires, unplug 1st and let cool off. Not sure if you need to take any of the covers off, to remove the screws or fuser, but it should slide towards you to take out.

Hi Good day!! here are the steps how to remove paper jam in brother hope it help's you!!
1. Pull the paper tray completely out of the printer.
2. Pull the jammed paper up and out of the printer.
3. Press the cover release button and then open the front cover.
4. Pull out the drum unit assembly. Pull the jammed paper up and out of the printer. If you cannot remove the drum unit assembly easily at this time, do not use extra force. 8. Pull the Duplex Tray completely out of the printer.
9. Pull the jammed paper out of the printer or the Duplex tray. Put the Duplex tray back into the printer.

THE PRINTER IS INDICATING A PAPER JAM, THERE IS NO SIGN OF PAPER, THE DRAWERS ARE ALL CLOSED TIGHT

Paper light flashing could mean a few things on this machine.

There could be a paper jam in the machine. Open the front cover remove the drum and toner and look in the machine. Open the back cover and look for a Jam as well.

Try putting a piece of paper in the manual feed tray which is right above the paper tray, sometimes on certain documents the margins are too big and asks to go into the manual feed slot.

Got a paper jammed in my brother hl-2170w

Open the front cover of Printer, remove the drum and toner with force and put aside. Remove the jammed paper slowly so it doesnt rip. If you cannot find the jammed paper check in the back cover and paper tray.

You will need to use the manual feed slot which is above the paper tray.

The manual feed is meant for labels and envelopes

Paper JAm

There are three places to clear the jam: 1. Paper tray (remove it and feel inside, clear paper. 2.Open the front (above the manual feed slot) inside is the drum - remove that and the toner cartridge, if necessary. 3. On the back - open the rear chute. You should be able to remove the paper in one of those areas. See the Brother web site for complete pictures ans instructions. http://welcome.solutions.brother.com/BSC/public/us/us/en/faq/faq/000000/000000/000026/faq000026_006.html?reg=us&c=us&lang=en&prod=hl2040_all&Cat=4
