Question about Audio Players & Recorders
Just bought my son a sony walkman nmz-a816 mp3 player but when i connect to the home pc it says cant find software for new hardware. The point is there is no software. Its def a PC issue as the mp3 connects and loads just fine to other PCs.
Is something stopping the computer from recognising the mp3? I have wmp11 installed properly but it wont charge the mp3 or anything. Just now I tried to connect my samsung d900 and exactly the same thing happened-it said no drivers found for samsung. The computer recognises the phone and the mp3. In device manager there is a yellow question mark saying no drivers installed.
Hope you can help.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

if you have a problem about MTP Device and wont be able to show in your "My Computer", here are tips that may help you fixed your problem:
*First- Uninstall the MTP Device Driver in your system.(Right click My Computer then manage, then click Device manager at the left part, then after that, find MTP Device in your right part, then click and Right click the name of your MTP Device then uninstall.)
*Second- Reconnect the device and then after a pop-up show which says, New hardware found,
click install the driver in a specific location, then choose the bottom option and then choose
*Lastly- Turn On your Device and search it in My Computer.
that's all, and i hope i do a little help to you!

1.If it is detected as Walkman but not showing as a removable drive then
a.Goto device manager and right click on Sony Walkman and select update driver
b.Choose the advanced option and then select i will choose the driver to install.
c.In the window that appears, select mass storage device rather than MTP device.
2.If it is not detected at all,you need to download the firmware from here: http://support.sony-europe.com/dna/downloads/firmware/firmware.aspx?site=odw_en_GB&m=NWZ-B135&f=FRM_NWZ_B13x_f After downloading, run it and then connect the player to system while holding the "volume -" button...it should be detected and the firmware would be restored.

First, Convert ur videos to MPEG4 & AVC (H.264) Baseline which are compatible with Nwz-a816 sony walkman with "Daniusoft Video Converter";
Next, Transfer video and music from your collection via Windows Media Player or simple drag-and-drop .
