SD cards have slide switches on one edge. Slide it away from the contacts.

However, since you're getting this will many cards, I suspect that the switch mechanism inside the camera is broken. If that's the case, have it checked by a qualified technician.

Look at your memory card. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

"card protected " appears whenever i attempt a

Take the memory card out of your camera. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again. Then put the card back into the camera.

If that doesn't work, try another card.

What do you do when your nikon cool pix camrea says memory card is write protected

SD type cards have a little switch on the card that can write protect or "lock" it. Take the card out of the camera and check this switch. To unlock it, it should be moved towards the edge of the card which has the electrical contacts.

My cool pix p80 keeps saying write protected .What can I do?

SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. Slide it toward the contacts to enable write, away from the contacts to protect.

Does that help?
