You have to install the sound driver, if you dont know about the driver then detect it through programs like driver detective

I try to reinstall my windows xp and a screen came on that reads log on to windows Users name:Administrator Then under that Password:.I have never seen this and never had a password on this

As DrWho_64 mentioned, you've probably activated the logon prompt somehow. But since you tried jonesspammai's method and didn't work, It seems that your user account's password has been set. So all you have to do is perform password reset. Here's how to reset your password:
  1. First reboot Windows XP in safe mode by re-starting the computer and pressing F8 repeatedly as the computer starts up.
  2. Then (in safe mode) click Start and then click Run. In the open box type "control userpasswords2" (without the quotes, of course)
  3. You will now have access to all the user accounts, including the administrators account and will be able to reset the lost password.
  4. Just click the administrators user account (or the target user's account), and then click Reset Password. You will need to add a new password in the New password and the Confirm new password boxes, and confirm by clicking OK.
  5. All done, you have recovered the lost password
Hope you'll have it resolved soon :-)

My pc can't find my speaker

You probably haven't loaded the sound driver yet.
To find out goto control panel, then system, then devices
You might see a ? next to one or more devices
If so, the next step will depend on if you have the driver on cd, or you will have to download it.
Write back....

Please rate helpful if it was!

Install new sound card. Creative tech

Before you install the sound card, you install the drivers for it. Drivers are small 'pieces' of software, that allow the Operating System to 'communicate' with the device. If you did not, then No, Windows did not recognize your sound card.

(In essence. Read on) (Not to insult your intelligence. Windows XP, is an example of an Operating System. So is Vista)

In this instance, the device is a Sound Card. Those drivers are on a CD, that should have been provided with the sound card.

Reasoning that you install the drivers first, then the Sound card is this,

When you install a device, Windows 'recognizes' it, as soon as Windows starts up. Windows 'breaks it's neck' to hurry up, and find drivers to match the device. If there are no actual drivers, then Windows chooses from Thousands of Generic drivers it has, and matches one up.

This is No good. The device needs THE drivers for it.
Then the owner comes along, and installs the drivers later. (Or in your case, didn't)

This causes a driver conflict.

BUT, you didn't indicate you installed the CD, therefore didn't install the drivers, and Windows is using the generic drivers. Crappy quality results.

Suggest you do this. Computer off, and unplugged
from the surge protector. Press the Power On button, and hold it in. Hold it in for a count of Five seconds, then let go. (And I mean Five at least. Count, 1001,..1002,..1003,..1004,..1005)
Do this procedure two more times.

What you are doing is clearing CMOS error codes, and resetting your BIOS, back to the factory default setting.

Computer unplugged, computer case open, touch the metal frame of the computer case. (Work on a table) This will relieve your body of Static electricity. Your body always carries static electricity. Static will silently fry out, your delicate computer hardware components.

Now take the sound card out. Leave the case open, plug the computer back into power. WAIT 1 minute, then turn the computer on. When Windows has fully loaded, install the CD for the sound card, Follow the instructions.
At the end, if it asks you do you want to restart your computer, NO!
Close all windows, until you are back at your desktop screen. Shut your computer down normally. (Start>Turn off computer>Shut Down)

Unplug the computer from power. Forget this part, and you may be buying a different computer.
Install the sound card. Close the computer case. Plug the computer back in. WAIT 1 minute. Turn the computer on.
Now how's your sound?
