Here, you have mentioned that your mobile is Nokia Lumia but, you have not specify its exact model . You can unlock your Nokia by using T-Mobile USA Unlocking service . You can get it from the provider TheUnlockSpot.com at affordable cost . After unlocking your Nokia Lumia from T-mobile, you can use it with Vodafone or any other GSM carriers internationally .
First you need to make sure that the cell phone is unlocked, if is not you need to request the unlock code from Verizon.
Second make sure that the company you are moving to uses the same wireless spectrum as Verizon.
Third they can test if the phone works with the carrier you chose by using a test simm card.
I am having a Samsung Nexus SCHi515 with Verizon network( It has a sim slot) I have taken the phone to India. I thought it could be unlocked and used in some CDMA network( Reliance) here since one of my friend have unlocked LG droid 3,(non-sim model),verizon network. But I have heard from some people that phone with sim slot cannot be unlocked and only the non sim model can be unlocked and registered with the Reliance CDMA network in India. Is it not possible to unlock the model with sim slot? Kindly help me out.
if he calls his previous carrier even if the acct is in collection and shut off and authorizes them to release it says it was found then he can get the esn removed frolmthe system as long as its in verizons system itll never beable to use through verizon wireless also try boost mobile i belive they reprogram phones from other carriers so that they can be used through boost
In order for you to do that you will need to get a Global Phone, every ESN (Electronic Serial Number) is only programmed for a specific carrier i.e. Verizon, if you want to take your phone over to India you will need a Global Phone check out the Samsung Renown or Blackberry Tour/Storm/Storm2
No, Nokia 5800 is a GSM phone and Verizon uses CDMA. The technology is very different. Although some of Verizon phones also except a SIM card, they are in use only when their customer travels outside of the USA.
India networks use either the GSM900 and GSM1800 protocols. . Delhi itself and much of Northern India is on the GSM900 standard.
Cellphone users in the USA subscribe to carriers that use one of two technology standards. : GSM (global system for mobile communications) or
CDMA (code division multiple access).
GSM is used by T-Mobile and Cingular.
CDMA is used by Verizon and Sprint.
You will have to get the correct SIM card/phone to call in the USA.
The FCC has set stringent parameters for cellphone emissions Standards. Only cell phones manufactured to these Standards are sold in the USA. Make sure your phone is not doing more damage to your health.
