Please try uninstall the audio driver of your laptop and then reinstall it again to resolve the issue.
please verify also the volume control maybe the control accidentally set to mute..in the control panel
else, installation of drivers is needed.
please tell me more about your laptop so that i can do more complex troubleshooting.
