Hello,

Why don't use "open office" program. its all free. the program is like using Microsoft office which you can format your document easily.

You can download "open office.org from here: http://download.openoffice.org/
note: copy and paste the url to your internet browser address bar.

wordpad is hard to format.

You should format it manually..

may this help,

What are the specific topic about computers?

Not sure what are referring to or what you need.

Web Design and Programming

Writing your research paper on web design or programming can also include both subjects, depending on your knowledge and your own preferences.

Some web design languages include HTML, CSS and PHP, all popular coding languages when building and operating basic websites.

Many free tutorials and resource guides are available online that include coding and instructions.

Some programming languages for the computer include C++, C, Visual Basic and Java.

All of these programs vary in their abilities and extent of creation.

You can choose one subject from web designing and one from programming to write your research paper on and combine them effectively into one paper.

Because every computer coding language has an array of subtopics and research points, you can decide which topic you want to be primary in focus and which you want to be secondary.

Searching and Using the Internet

Using the basics of the Internet is a skill that develops after extensive Internet use and use of related online tools.

Learning how to properly use popular search engines is a skill that is growing in demand as the number of people on the Internet grows.

Writing on various search engines such as Google, Bing and Yahoo allows you to compare each of the systems, or you can write on a specific search engine website and how to use it properly.

Shopping Safely Online

Shopping securely online is a growing demand as the number of online stores grows and payment options expand to allow nearly everyone the capability to shop.

Many online stores and websites use an "SSL" (Secure Sockets Layer), which allows shoppers and visitors to the website to browse safely while entering their personal information and financial data.

Learning how to verify if an SSL is in use on a website would be a valuable skill to all shoppers.

Avoiding Viruses and Malware

You can write your computing research paper on viruses and malware, along with spyware, which all circulate the Internet and sometimes programs themselves.

Malware, spyware and viruses can all slow and infect users' computers, eventually ruining them entirely if they are devastating enough.

Virus programs, their prevention and browsing the Internet safely are all valid topics when writing on malware and computer viruses.

Hope this helps.

Check the paper size at the printer properties on control panel.
You may be trying to print an A4 document to a printer configured to print on Letter size paper.
The document paper size should match the printer's paper size deffinition.

Sharp XE-A202 won't print

Hi.
If it is not printing at all, make sure you have the paper the correct way around. it will only print on one side. Make sure you have thermal paper loaded - standard bond paper rolls will not work in thermal machines. To test the paper, feed a small amount out, then scratch it firmly and quickly with a finger nail. You should see black lines left behind where you scratched it.
If it is printing everything except date and time, then it has been programmed not to. I can help with this.

I have Printmaster 10 and 17. On 10, I can print to the edges of the labels and others things, on 17 I can't. I know that I reconfigured 10 to do this, but it was years ago and I can't remember the step...

Custom Paper Wizard PrintMaster® 17 Gold and Platinum include a Custom Paper Wizard that allows you to add new or unsupported paper stock to PrintMaster® for printing labels, stickers, envelopes, half-fold greeting cards, note cards, business cards and postcards. The remainder of this note describes how to use the Custom Paper Wizard. Follow the procedure below to add a new or unsupported paper stock to PrintMaster® 17 Gold or Platinum using the Custom Paper Wizard.

NOTE: The options that appear in the Custom Paper Wizard vary depending on the project type for which you are creating new paper stock.
  1. In the PrintMaster® Design Workspace, click Tools from the menu bar, select Custom Paper Wizard and click New Custom Paper. The Custom Paper Wizard window will open.
  2. In the Select Stock Type: list box, select the appropriate project type (Label, Sticker, Business Card, Envelope, 1/2-Fold Greeting Card, Note Card or Postcard) and click Next.
  3. If creating a Label or Sticker paper stock, select the label type. An example of the selected label type will appear on the right.
  4. Click Next.
  5. In the screen that appears, select the similar stock type and enter the paper height, width and margins (if instructed to do so).

NOTE: The Example box at the bottom of the Custom Paper Wizard window will explain what information is needed for the selected field (e.g., Paper Width, Left Margin, etc.) with both text and a diagram. The Example box on the left side of the Custom Paper Wizard window will show an example of the new paper stock as the fields are completed.

  6. Depending on the paper stock, the "Contains mid-page perforation" box may be active. If the paper stock that is added has a mid-page perforation, click once in the empty box to check it.
  7. Enter a Name for the new paper stock in the Name of stock: field and click Next. This name will identify the added stock type and will appear when creating a new project (e.g., Label, 1/2-Fold Greeting Card, etc.).

NOTE: If adding a new paper stock for an Envelope project type, click Finish. A message will appear indicating that the new stock has been added. Click OK. The new envelope paper stock can be used when creating a new Envelope project.

  8. The next screen or screens that show will depend on the project type for which the new paper stock is added. Enter the needed information and click Finish. A message will appear stating that the new paper stock has been added.
  9. Click OK.
  10. To access the new paper stock, create a new project that uses the stock type (Label, 1/2-Fold Greeting Card, etc.) and select the name of the new stock entered in Step 7 (above) from the available stock list.
NOTE: If the paper stock that is added does not display in the list, click or go to Custom Paper Stock Does Not Display (Technical Note ID: 43399) for additional information.

Using the Custom Paper Wizard Tutorial

Consult the "Using the Custom Paper Wizard" tutorial in the Help Center of PrintMaster® 17 for additional information. The tutorial can be accessed in the manner shown below.

  2. Click Help on the menu bar and select Help Center.

Have installed new printer a message pops up saying the printer is out of paper even though there is plenty of paper in tray.

Hey buddy,

Follow the below steps:

Step one:
Check the media and print settings
While the printer is on, remove the power cord from the back of the printer, wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord into the back of the printer.
If the printer is not already on, turn it on by pushing the power button.
Replace any paper that is ripped, dusty, wrinkled, or bent. If the paper is curled, uncurl the paper by gently bending it in the opposite direction of the curl or replace the paper.
NOTE: Use plain paper in the unit until the issue is resolved.
Verify that all the paper is the same size and type.
Tap the stack of paper on a flat surface to align the edges.
Verify that the stack of paper to be loaded in the unit contains between 10 and 25 sheets of paper.
NOTE: Do not load too much paper in the printer.
Insert the stack of paper into the printer and then gently push the paper guides snugly against the paper.
Adjust the paper settings in the print driver. The paper settings in the print driver must match the paper settings for at least one of the installed paper trays.
Open a document in the application in which it was created.
Click File .
Click Print .
Click Properties . The Printer Properties dialog box displays.
Click the Paper/Quality tab.
In the Size is drop-down menu, select the size of the paper loaded in the unit.
In the Type is drop-down menu, select the type of paper loaded in the unit.
Click OK .
NOTE: These changes do not change the default print settings. The print settings will revert to the default print settings the next time the application is opened.
On the Print dialog box, click OK to print the document.
Try printing again. If the issue is not solved, continue on to the next section.
NOTE: If the issue is resolved and you want to print on another type of media, change the paper in the unit and then repeat steps 2 through 7 for the new media.
Step two: Clean the rollers
Turn off the product and unplug the power cord.
Open the access door to gain access to the rollers. Depending on the model, this is usually the rear access door. See the product user guide for information about locating the rollers.
Clean the rubber rollers with a lint-free cloth, lightly moistened with water.
NOTE: Distilled, filtered, or bottled water is recommended for cleaning the rollers. Tap water might contain contaminants that can damage the rollers.
Make sure that any paper rollers that rest on the input tray, which are located behind the back rollers, are cleaned. A clean cotton swab, lightly moistened with water, might be necessary to reach these rollers.
Close the access door and plug in the power cord.
Try printing again. If the issue is not resolved, continue to the next step.
Step three: Service the product
If you have completed all the steps and are still experiencing a problem, service your product.

Cause of this problem:

Any of the following issues can cause the error message to appear:
The paper trays are empty or overloaded.
The paper is curled.
The print side, or shiny side, of the paper is not loaded in the input tray face down.
The paper might not be engaged with the feed rollers.
The paper-width guide is pressed against the paper stack too tightly.
The paper tray is not completely inserted into the product.
The paper settings in the print driver do not match the paper loaded in the paper tray.
The rubber paper-feed rollers are coated with dust.
