You are a consumer of a product that is FAULTY you are within your rights to get a full refund or an exchange providing you have either evidence of purchase in the form of a receipt or you have an insurance or guarantee. I have previously worked at an opticians fitting spectacles for customers and if specs are ill fitting from the day of purchase the employee has failed to provide the basic service which they are trained to offer.
I suggest you return to the opticians but phone before hand (less daunting) and demand to speak to the duty manager. Make clear that you are bringing in the faulty specs to be exchanged by a qualified optical assistant and if you leave dissatisfied yet again you will be writing a letter of complaint to the company's complaints department and specify that you will be mentioning the staff by name.
(Allways remember the names of the staff you speak to and when they answer the phone politely ask with whom am taking to before entering in to conversation?) Be polite as phone calls are oftenrecorded and don't be embarrassed you don't ever have to go back in there. goodluck.
To chane the name on the sets you'll need to enter telephone programming. Programming is done on 7310, 7324 and 7316 type sets. Enter programming by pressing the feature key followed by **266344.When prompted to enter the password enter 266344. The screen should say TERMINALS&SETS. The 4 top line/feature keys are now used for programming. At the terminals&sets prompt, press the show key (top right arrow). The display should now ask for an extension number. Enter extension number you want to change the name on. Press the show key (top right arrow) The display should say LINE ACCESS Press the next key (bottom right arrow) . The display should say CAPABILITIES. Press the next key (bottom right arrow) . The display say Name. press the Chng soft key. use the dial pad to enter the name. advance using the arrow soft key to go to the next letter ex. Norstar doesn't like phones to be moved around some times on the old norstar systems moving phones caused problems. How old is this system and in programming there is a setting called set relocation this has to be a yes to move sets.To move a set to another local unplug both sets wait 1 min. plug one set in it's new local wait 1 min. plug other set in its new local.
On the newer norstar systems the T7208 and lower phones can not be used for programming. The T7316e phone has to be used for programming therefore feature 983 will only work on the T7316e set.To change local dn's you have to go into config programming and to change dn old dn then new dn.
This is probably not related to the phone itself but more likely related to the telephone system it connects to. You can configure an IP phone to connect to a telephone system at a external service provider but I would be surprised if their time was out by seven minutes so I'm guessing that you have an IP PBX in your office somewhere. It would have the names of the people at the different extensions. You probably have a support person who looks after your computers and operating systesms it is fairly normal in smaller offices for that person to also look after the telephones. I do this for two small businesses which have about 40 employees all togeather. Have a chat to your boss, someone should be responsabile for your phone system too. As time goes by it will just get worse and if it has a failure someone should know how it all works. Hope this hepls
followed by your passcode (usually 1234)

Then when you've got your name correct press Auto Dial.
first off the T7208 is the phone model and need the ksu model number to know what system you are in. But you can always call that extension and if not in office it should go straight to voice mail (if any) then leave mssge to call back
