My oven will not heat up to temperature

It may be the bake element that has gone out. The self clean usually uses the broil element to heat the oven. And most oven will either put 120 volts to the broil element while baking or pulse the broil element while baking. This will cause the oven to get warm but not hot. Check the oven bake element it cound be bad or a wire may have burned off.

RBS305 replaced thermal cutoff twice and again it won't come on bake or broil

Good Evening!
The self clean feature is causing your thermal fuses to fail or open. This is a safety mechanism that when open (bad) won't allow electricity to pass through any longer. The temperature in your oven exceeds what the components in your appliance can handle. If you want your oven to last it's longest, I would discontinue using that feature. If ever the control board or keypad on your oven by way of the self clean feature, we can help you with that. Fixyourboard.com can help. Send all inquiries to [email protected] . Thank you!

Hi lost the manual..need to start self cleaning

Hello,

An electric oven is a great oven choice because of the advanced self-cleaning feature often available on certain models. A self-cleaning oven uses high temperatures to clean crusty baking spills and splatters and free its owner from having to use harsh chemicals to clean his oven. The following 4 steps lay out how a self-cleaning oven works.

Step 1 - Setting the Self Cleaning Mode
Depending on the style and brand of oven you own, you start the self-cleaning cycle by setting the oven's operating dial to "Clean," a function that can be as simple as setting a timer knob or pushing one or two buttons.

Step 2 - Cleaning Cycle
Once you have set the self-cleaning cycle, the oven coils-both lower and upper--will begin to heat. These self-cleaning ovens are protected from high oven temperatures damage by heavy insulation installed in their walls and door during the manufacturing process.

Step 3 - Automatic Door Lock
When the oven reaches a pre-determined temperature, the lock on the oven door engages, preventing anyone from opening the door until the oven temperature has cooled.

Step 4 - Removing Residual Ashes
Once the cleaning process is completed, including cooling, you can then remove the residual ash by wiping the bottom oven surface with a damp cloth or sponge.

Hope this helpout

Neither the oven or broil element comes on. No error code appears, any thoughts?

Hi.

If both broiling and baking element are not heating, then the most common fault causing the problem is a defective temperature probe.

The probe is located inside the oven cavity.
On most ovens there is only one temperature sensor, connected in line on the circuit from electroning oven control to baking and broiling element.
When the probe fails, it will affect both baking and broiling function.

The temperature probe is tested reching the probe, cutting or disconnecting its wiring, and testing the probe at room temperature, with a multimeter set on impedance at Rx1. If the multimeter reads no continuity (circuit open), then the probe must be replaced.

If the temperature probe is good, then parts that may be responsible for the fault are oven electronic control and wiring. Having both elements failing at the same time would be rather unusual.

Regards.

I ran the self-clean mode this morning. After it finished this process, I preheated the oven to do some baking, and now the oven won't heat at all.

I am going to assume that you selected bake as you normally would and there are no faults (error code) reported. - this would mean there would not be a problem with the controller or the temperature sensor. The problem may be with only the bake circuit - so try the broil function - If the broil works then you may have a problem with the bake element or the connections to it or the relay on the controller - check the connections first then the element - If the broil does not work also then you may have a problem with the relay on the controller or the connection of the other leg of the 220v supply.

Make a check or have someone check it and wrte me back a post here
Regards
