Question about IBM NetVista PC Desktop

My IBM NetVista Desktop 8307 issue

Amusedgeek, I installed Windows Live and it's working great! My computer is moving fast now! However, some other program installed itself and asks for money! It keeps "popping up." Otherwise, I'm good.

It's hasn't been trying to sell me anything for maybe 10 minutes now. In the past, it was Ultimate Anti-Virus 2008, Windows Anti-Virus 2008 and MS AntiVirus. Maybe they will just go away if I don't buy them? My computer's working great (besides the pop-up things).

Thanks. I ran a complete scan and no malicious software was found!

A reformat wipes out everything, windows, office, all your documents, pictures, music - everything. You will have a blank hard drive.

What is the virus you have and what have you done to try and get rid of it?

Drivers problem

Are the drivers from IBM XP specific? If not try the drivers for Win. 2000. I have had success using them on XP machines when XP specific drivers can't be found.

I have same problem as ninja9er

hi,

First try Using one at a time, since its not advisable to use memory chips with variable bus speeds i.e (333 & 266).
Since IBM Computer are little complicated i would suggest your to call the customer care or Tech support for assistance in buying a Memory module. In that way you can cross check the memory module you have bought is compatible with the computer.

Kindly give a feed back to Improve my statistics and to see If it was helpful for you...

Thanks and Regards
