Question about Hyundai ImageQuest L70N 17" LCD Monitor

1 Answer

Hyundai imagequest l90d+

The monitor continuously powers itself on and off, and the power button doesn't work to turn it on. However, if i press two buttons, one after the other, such as power and menu, it comes on. I also can't turn it off with the power button. Any ideas?

Check the pins on the end of your vga cable from the monitor to make sure that the pins aren't bent.

If they are not bent then it could be a problem with the monitor itself. Try resetting the defaults on the monitor itself and see if the problem goes away if it does then your set.

If the problem still exists then try a different known good working monitor on the computer. If you still get the same problem then its a problem with the video card. If the problem goes away then you know its a problem with the monitor and would need to be replaced.

My Monitor

Ok? first what you need to do is to hibernate your computer. You can do that by pressing the power button as long as you need for the computer to turn off. Then you turn your computer back on and press the power button ON THE MONITOR twice but you MUST do this really fast. Then what you need to do is to find a circuit breaker on the back of your computer. switch it to the off position then turn it back on. Then turn your computer on. This should fix your problem.

Monitors goes black - Hyundai Q17

I had the same problem some time ago.
After dismateling the power-supply unit it apeared that there was en crack in a solderjoint at one of the power transistors. This transistor has 3 legs (TO220 I believe), from which the middle leg had a solder crack, probebly due to thermal stress. Just resolder and it worked again....
Its worth a try I think.

Succes,  Wim Steenhuis.
