Question about HP Office Equipment & Supplies
Generally, when an HP printer continues the old "alignment" trick, but never seems to want to actually continue past that, it's done for. Considering the noises that you're hearing, I'd guess something internal has either gotten stuck (and the write head is butting up against it), or there is a mechanical failure.
My suggestion (after owning nothing but HP printers) ...put your file on a flash drive or CD/DVD, and take to a friend's house to print (or to a local Kinko's), then go shopping tomorow for a replacement printer. The cost to repair it will far outweigh just buying a new one.
Good luck - hope this helped!
