My zune software in the laptop always look for the missing cood124F when i attached m
My zune just froze and i tried several times to reset it but still to no avail, i followed the instruction from microsoft on how to reformat it but now the installed software for zune in my laptop would always ask for a missing cood124F everytime i attached my device. i dont know how to go about it now

i had the same problem. my solution was easy since the circuitry of the zune is complex, i bought another motherboard & installed it & as soon as it was back together it fired right up, no problems! check out ebay for this piece. hope this helps.
Reset Zune: Press and hold the back button while pressing up on the control pad. Connect Zune to a power source: If the Zune device is in sleep mode, this action will wake the Zune device and turn it on. If the battery does not have a charge, you may have to wait several minutes for the Zune device to turn on.
Also, make sure that the hold button on top of your zune is turned to the off position.
