The best way to connect is to use the Ethernet cable to connect each pc to each other or use a Ethernet hub to connect the two together.

Good Luck

Usb modems will not work see's modem but will not complete driver install. Even if you manually update. Tried 2 modem's

check to make sure that your USB ports are working properly. Best thing is to hook up a usb mouse or usb keyboard.

if it recognizes those and installs the drivers properly then you know your USB ports are fine, at this point you know that its got to be something with the modems, either they are not compatible or the modems are bad.

Try a brand new usb modem and make sure whatever type of usb port that the modem requires is the type of usb ports you havve on your server.

Network Problem (occasionally loss)

Are all clients losing connections or just one? Can anyone ping the server when your client is getting 75% loss? If you are using a hub, what traffic is running during packet loss? You might need a packet trace to see what is going on. You also need to check your server stats when it is happening and when it is not and see what the difference is. Check the hub stats for errors on the ports. Is the server on the same hub with your client? These should help you find the problem if you get this info.

My problem is the belkin wirelwess router it keeps disconnecting itself from the servers

Do you have similar problems with other wireless clients (notebooks, desktops, anything?)

1st : try a different wifi channel on your router--channel 1, 6, 11 are best choices, if your area isn't already congested.

What level of signal are you getting on the PS3? You can check the STATUS of the Network connection to see in % how well it's connecting. Anything less than about 90, and I would get disco's frequently. Heck, even with a wifi access point sitting within a few feet, I'd still get occasional disconnects.

The bottom line with wireless--in a perfect environment without interference from other devices, a PS3 can operate fairly well. But, in the real world, the overall competition for those frequencies varies in each and every area, if you're not having any luck, and have tried reorienting, changing channels, etc., about the last thing within the WiFi arena--drop your accesspoint/router down to a lower data rate if you can. The slower the rate, the more distance and more resilient the wifi can be. Try 5.5mbs, or even 1.1.

If all fails, the BEST method is of course, running some network cable and ditching the wifi connectivity. You can count on a wired connection no matter how many cordless phones and microwaves are in the area.

I have yet to setup any printer on a print server and not have it work. There are times that some functions do not work. For example there are control buttons on the printer itself for scanning, copying, faxing etc that if it was "directly" connected to the computer itself the computer would prompt you .. those kind of things don't work .. but other than that .. You should have no problem

Get a USB Storage device - if you can copy a file of about 100mb in under 10-20 seconds, then chances are it's USB2. USB2.0 is 480mbps where as 1.1 is 12mpbs (or something tiny in comparison)......
