Question about Bathtubs & Whirlpools

Bath tub installation

I just bought an "aqua glass" bath tub it's the fiber glass hollow kind and is the same size as the one I just removed out the same spot. Having said that, I can't get the tub to fit in the spot! It seems to be to large to get in there. No matter how I angle it, it just wont wedge down in there. What do I do?

Okay lets start with the most obvious: Check all studs to ensure they are plumb. I am assuming all sheetrock and tile has been removed. if so measure the distances from the bottom plates on the end walls. it should be 60 inches in the clear. measure the height of the tub from the edge of the skirt that contact the floor to the top of the skirt then measure this distance off on the front and rear studs on both end walls and mark it off. Now measure to see that you still have 60 inches in the clear at both the front and rear locations. Now measure the tub as well to ensure it wasn't mis-manufactured. If all your measurements come in at 60 inches you should be able to bring the tub in and slide it in as it is when it is finished. If you find out that you have less than 60 inches in the clear for the tub you can use a drill and jigsaw to remove additional wood from the studs to get it to drop in. Once in you can fir the wall back out to the original dimension and sheetrock and tile. One thing you need to remember is that you may need to take wood out of bot ends to get the drain to rough in correctly.
I hope this helps you out and thanks for using Fix Ya.

Aqua Glass whirlpool, Indulgence collection, pump turns on and works briefly, then jets stop.

First of all, what you have is a WOW pump that has an E-switch for a control.
There is a knob on the top lip of your tub that you turn a 1/4 turn to turn this pump on/off.
There is a small circuit board inside the box on top of the motor. This is likely the source of your problem.
Here is your biggest problem. That little circuit board is not made anymore. We have the e-switch but you will be better off changing out the pump (which you have to do anyway) with a new WOW pump with an air switch and change the switch on the top lip of the tub to an air button which will turn the pump on/off.

I have an Aqua Glass Whirlpool Tub. The jets shut down and when I push the on/off button, it just makes a clicking sound. Do I need a new pump? If so, what kind do I order?

You could easily have the whirlpool fed by a double breaker. Try turning it off and back on and see if all is back to normal

Can't find a pump for Aqua Glass model 566042BC

What model of pump? Pumps are changed and identified by the model and brand name of the pump, NOT the model number of the bath tub.

I have an Aqua Glass Jaccuzzi that I haven't used in 10 years. The last time it was used it worked perfectly. Now I can't turn it on at all. I don't remember is just the round dial that

Check the circuit breaker and make sure you have power to the pump.
If you have power to the pump and it is not operational when the tub is full of water and you are in it then I would say you have a serious problem.
Most all of the older control that Aquaglass has used in the past have been discontinued.
You may want to visit this link and identify your control before you begin t trouble shoot your system.

We service a ton of Aquaglass products. Need to know what kind of control we are talking about. Is this an electronic button you are pushing or an air button you push down?

My Aqua Glass Whirlpool tub has stopped working. The motor comes makes a sound when I turn it on but the jets are not working

Your motor is shot. you need a new pump. If it comes on and you can hear a hum then it is bad. If you can get us a model number of the pump we can recommend a replacement model for you.

Aqua glass jetted tub quit working

Hello. There are two reset buttons in the mechanical space or your tub. You should be able to access that area from the front by removing a few screws. it is not uncommon to have to push those reset buttons after a power outage. If you do need a repair I recommend that you call a store that sells hot tubs as they will have a technician on staff or be able to guide you to one. Regards, Joe
