Back to Basics Smoothie Plus 600

Practically new and the blade assembly leaks. Its not leaking through the gasket but where the blade is screwed in. Whenever liquids are poured in and cover the blade it starts to leak.

Any suggestions

Check to see if the jar has any cracks or if the blade assembly or collar have any cracks.
Is it possibly leaking from the tap valve?
If the blades or tap lever are cracked I would recommend replacing them, however if the jar is cracked i would just buy a new blender. These are great for smoothies but they are all discontinued and parts wont be available for much longer.

Here is a link to some items currently available on EBay:

It looks like you could pickup a whole unit for under $20 if you wanted to go that route.

Good luck.

It could be the gasket, could definitely be that crack in the collar, and even possibly the blade assembly - here is the official website to get all of those parts:

Leaking blender

Mine also leaked from day 1. I just read in the manual to first place the bottom and blade assembly on the counter, then seat the gasket around the blade assembly, making sure it is just under the lip of the blade piece (careful, you have to maneuver around the blades). Then place the jar on the assembly and screw in tightly. This worked and I have no more leaks.
This is different than other blenders where you place the gasket on the jar and then attach the bottom. It is a poor design, but after what I paid for it, I am glad to be able to use it and not just trash it.

Back to Basic Smoothie Freeze Bades don't rotate

check to see if you can move the blades by rotating the shaft on the bottom of the goblet, sounds like you need a new blade assembly.

you can order the part from their website:
