Camera wont start!

I have the Curve 8330. When I try to start theĀ camera, it comes up with a screen that says, "Could not start the camera. Close other applications and try opening again." I have turned off the device, I have removed the battery. I'm not 100% sure on what it means by "close other applications" but could someone please help!

If these two options haven't worked, then the final thing to do is actually delete the entire operating system and reload it from scratch. There is a program called JL_Cmder that allows you to completely erase the operating system and data and programs. Check out the two links below:

Camera phone won't load. "close all apps and then restart." Tired soft reset, hard reset and update.

Make backup on your PC.
Wipe the BB, options - Security -General Settings - drop down menu - WIPE
Restore the backup from your PC.

The flash on my blackberry 8330 wont work.

First, ensure that the flash is on in the camera settings, which are accessed from the camera screen by pressing the blackberry key and going down to Options. The first setting is default flash settings, and your options are on, off, and automatic. If it is on, you most likely have a damaged flash or a loose cable inside of the phone.

I have a blackberry curve 8330 and the trackball used to zoom in the camera but now it doesnt. I didnt change any settings for the camera that i know of can some one please help.

Mine just did the same thing. I did a hard reset (pop battery out of phone, count to 10, put it back) and worked after that.

When in doubt, pop the battery out.

Could not start the camera. Close other applications and try opening the camera again

Very gently take the back off of the Blackberry, slightly push in on the camera itself, reboot and the camera should work.

I found out the hard way selling my phone on eBay only to have it returned because the camera didn't work. It's a hardware issue and not a software issue.

If it's still under warranty, try and get a new phone, otherwise --problem solved.

Accidentally deleted camera icon

I don't think you can actually "delete" the icon for the camera, at least not using the handset. You probably only "hid" it. Try hitting the option button and then select "show all" you should then see the camera icon but slightly grayed out/transparent. go to it and then uncheck the hide option. You can then de-select show all and you should be good to go. If this does not fix it and you did actually delete the camera function, let me know so I can walk you through that detailed process.

How do i reset blackberry curve 8330 to factory settings

are you actually going to the menu button and selecting close on each screen or just hitting end or the return button to get to the home screen? If you don't actually select close in the menu screen some progams remain open. go into all applications when there press the menu key and scroll down to close this should help

Camera Won't Start!

First, try a hard reset on the device: remove the battery from the BlackBerry while it is still powered on. Leave it out for 30 seconds, then reinsert.

If that doesn't work, then you may need to add a memory card (micro SD/SDHC) to the device.
