Question about LG Flatron L1750S 17" LCD Monitor

Open Question

Lg monitors my monitor is in analog power saving mode how can i I just bought a LG Flatron W1952TQ computer monitor. I attached it to my computer and monitor displayed nothing, unless the 'source' button is pushed. The monitor promptly exhibits a ANALOG POWER SAVING MODE message and goes black. Same problem with the same monitor(LG Flatron W1952TQ)...Tech support told me that I need to change the resolution to 1440x900 to fix the problem. Unfortunately I am not given that option in my settings menu. Shouldn't I be able to use a different resolution and still use the monitor?

SOURCE: lg flatron w1952tq goes into power saving mode on

your LG monitor is bad then if you put another monitor on the computer and your getting video. Just as a last resort, you might want to put the LG monitor on another computer and if it stays in sleep mode then you know for sure at that point, the monitor is bad.

The problem is that there is no signal from the graphic / vga card from the PC, check the cable connection from monitor to the PC, or the PC itself got error on memory card or grapic card. Try to clean/ firm the graphic and memory card socket/ connection inside of your PC

If possible, attach analog and DVI cable together from one single graphics card.
Just to test your monitor is due to old age or component failure.

Does the LG Flatron W1952TQ Monitor have a reset button on it? Because it was working and now nothing. Monitor won't come on

Hello,

The most common cause of power loss on the W1952TQ is a failure of the filter capacitors on the power supply board. This is the same board used in several of the LG monitors including the W2252. You can repair the monitor by replacing the capacitors on the board. Here is a link to a repair kit with the correct capacitors to rebuild the power board.

If you just bought it and only used it one day, I would take it back for a replacement. Sure, you could fix it but if something went wrong on day one I'd be wary. Besdies, it would save you the hassle.
