Hi! the blue menu screen can be turned off by pressing the same button that caused it to appear. In most cases pressing the "Menu" button on the remote or TV-control will make the blue menu screen disappear..
blue screens are common when your set cant find a signal. might of switched it to video mode .find your menu on the remote and go to cable channels and press the autotune and should find and remember all usable channels
The FPA (Front Panel Access) lock is on. This allows you to prevent kids from using the set when you are not there and disables the buttons on the front of the TV. The set should turn on with the remote only, and then you can go back into the menu and turn off the FPA, also called child lock.
