You cannot save e-mails with Internet Explorer, but you can save them in your webmails Inbox. You can also save e-mails if you use a client like Outlook Express (In Windows XP) or Windows Mail (In Windows Vista).

you might be able work your way through the problem Stop Error 0Xc0000005 in Internet Explorer
"Access Violation (0Xc0000005 exception)" is a known problem with Internet Explorer 6.
When you try to open a web page in Internet Explorer 6 that has an opening HTML tag "<SPAN>" without a closing "</SPAN>" tag, this error can appear and render Internet Explorer nonfunctional.
Microsoft provides a hotfix to update versions of Internet Explorer 6 affected by this problem.

Visit the Microsoft Hotfix Request page for this error (see Below).
http://support.microsoft.com/hotfix/KBHotfix.aspx?kbnum=832823&kbln=en-us
Check the box next to "Internet Explorer 6.0."

Enter your email address in both boxes.
Microsoft will email the hotfix to this address, so be sure it is a valid email that you can access from the computer at which you are experiencing the error.

Type the letters you see in the box.
This confirms you are a human and not an automated bot.

Click "Request Hotfix."
Check your email for a message from Microsoft.
Click the download link in that email.
Save the .EXE download to your computer.
Double-click on the downloaded .EXE file when the download completes.
Follow the onscreen wizard instructions to complete the hotfix installation process.

I need to upgrade my internet explorer6. Everytime I try, I get a message that says Unknown Publisher & it won't go any further. Can you help? Thank you

Go to the Microsoft website.
Download Internet Explorer 8 if you're using XP or Explorer 9 if you have Windows Vista or 7.
When prompted whether to save or run click save.
Save the file to your desktop and wait for it to finish downloading.
Once it has finished double click on it to install.

When I try to go into some of the websites, it freezes up on me. I have problems getting into my email when I sign in. But not always. It also freezes up when I enter my sign in info to facebook and will...

this behavior signals a presence of a virus on the computer ..and you need to reinstall the computer to get rid of it ...The fact that is not freezing on any page is due the fact that the viruses are programmed to lock on and transmit data only from sites with interest ..(passwords...id info ..etc)

I just received an E-mail with 2 attachments with a ''gif'' format. When I try to open these attachments, which I expected to be a copy of a photograph, I obtain all kinds of strange objects, with no...

If you are sure that the Email attachment is from a reliable source and then content is potentially safe you can try to download the images to your computer and save it in a folder.

After you have saved the pictures, open the folder containing those picture files and try to open it with Internet explorer.

If it is not ready to open with Internet explorer then you should not try to open it with any other program. There are chances that either the file is corrupted or it contains a Virus or other harmful stuffs.

NO INTERNET

It sounds like you might have proxy settings set up on your browser configuration. Click tools >internet options>Connections tab>LAN settings button on internet explorer. If "Use a proxy server" is checked uncheck it and save settings. Restart internet explorer and try again.

My computer is not accepting cookies.

Assuming you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer, you have to do this:
  1. In Internet Explorer, on the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
  2. Click the Privacy tab, and then click Advanced.
  3. Click Override automatic cookie handling, and then specify how you want Internet Explorer to handle cookies from first-party Web sites and third-party Web sites (a Web site other than the one you are currently viewing).
    • To specify that you want Internet Explorer to always allow cookies to be saved on your computer, click Accept.
    • To specify that you want Internet Explorer to never allow cookies to be saved on your computer, click Block.
    • To specify that you want Internet Explorer to ask whether or not you want to allow a cookie to be saved on your computer, click Prompt.
  4. If you want Internet Explorer to always allow session cookies (cookies that will be deleted from your computer when you close Internet Explorer) to be saved on your computer, click Always allow session cookies.
 Notes
  • Some Web sites require cookies; therefore, if you select a setting that does not allow cookies to be saved on your computer, you might not be able to view certain Web sites.
  • When you change your privacy settings, the changes might not affect cookies that are already on your computer. If you want to ensure that all of the cookies on your computer meet your privacy settings, you should delete all of the existing cookies on your computer. When you return to Web sites that previously had saved cookies on your computer, the Web sites that meet your privacy settings will save cookies on your computer again. The Web sites that do not meet your privacy settings will not be allowed to save cookies on your computer, and might not function properly.

I cannot access my e-mail from this computer. I know I need to have the hughes accept my mail. My e-mail address is nelkarmiller@hughes.net Thank you.

First, try logging on to your email from another working computer of your friend's/family etc.
If it doesnt work, then you have a problem with your email, the password probably.
If it does work, then try and get a different web-browser such as Mozilla Firefox/Microsoft Internet Explorer or Opera.
It should work fine, and also try to enable cookies on your browser.
To enable cookies on Internet Explorer:
  1. Click on the Tools-menu in Internet Explorer
  2. Click on the Internet Options item in the menu - a new window opens
  3. Click on the Security tab near the top of the window. (See first image below)
  4. Click on the Custom Level... button near the bottom of the window (See first image below)
  5. Scroll down to Cookies in the new dialog, and set both "Allow cookies that are stored on your computer" and "Allow per-session cookies to Enable. (Second image below).
  6. Save changes by clicking Ok in each dialog and go to one of the configuration pages again
