Question about Haier HDN655E Dehumidifier
I have a Haier HDN655E dehumidifier, about 2 years old. It seems to run OK and the display panel works. However, no matter how low I set it on, it won't dehumidify below 45 (which is actually closer to 50 by a seperate guage). I've tried unplugging and so forth but it won't work like it did. Thanks for any helpl
Check the coils at the back of the dehumidifier to see if there is any frost buildup on it. If there is, turn off the machine for a while until the room warms up and melts off the frost. The machine works by condensing the moisture in the air over these coils, so if the coils are frosted over, or are not cold enough, the moisture cannot condense. If the coils are not cold enough, you may want to get it refilled with refrigerant. You will need to take it in for servicing in this case.
Hope that helps! Should you have any further questions, please feel free to post them here.
