- I have the same problem, my son was using my laptop and the cat ran across it and it fell on the floor. Everything still works the same, its just that I have to have something hold it up and it is very aggravating.- GuestBest Solution

If everything works, but the hinges are just damaged, they can be replaced. I see them all the time on eBay for between $20 and $50. You can try to replace them yourself, but I'd recommend a professional perform the repair, as you could cause further damage if you don't know what you're doing :)
