My printer wont print when I need it too. If I unplug the power and turn it back on it will print something from several days before. When I cancel the printing and try to print something new, it shows it on the printer as printing but nothing is being printed. Help!

Printer keeps printing same thing over and over and will not quit. I pressed for 1 copy and it keeps shooting out the same thing. It won't let me fax it just prints. Help!

go to control panel--to add a printer--click on the printer and you will see whats printing
highlight each line in the print task que one at a time and cancel print
the command is probably in a loop and it will print the previous print instruction over until the task is deleted

How to print? how to clear print jobs in queue? how to unpause fax setting to send fax?

to find the task list for the printer go to the control panel of the computer , go printers and faxes, right click on printer, right click on properties and the print list will come up
highlight and delete and tasks that are holding up the printer
you may also find a compatibility tab there so check that the printer is compatible to the pc
Did you install the driver for the printer from the disc supplied with the printer
You may have to install the fax into the pc as well
however there is a fax operation in the pc where you make up a document , put it in a folder and right click the folder and send to fax , e-mail recipient etc
the user manual with the printer will explain most operations

I want to print using my lexmark X6170 but I don't want to print color so I didn't put a color cartridge in. It keeps coming up with an error message and won't print at all.

Some printers require you to have the color cartridges in them even when you are printing black and white. You usually can in your print options choose black and white over color.

How to put printer in print mode

Actually, it does not matter what mode your printer is on when printing from your computer. Whenever your printer detects a print job sent to it, the printer will automatically acknowledge the signal and print the file - no matter if it's on Copy, Scan or Fax Mode.

MX-310 has fax's in memeory but keeps printing the first page of the first fax only. Screen says check paper size. When i push ok it only will print the first page over and over. How do I change it?

If your Canon MX-310 has been set up to print faxes as they are received, then what is actually in memory is a "received fax report". If you select a particular fax in this report, it will print the first page of the fax to remind you of the content.

Your Canon MX-310 will store fax documents in memory if:
  • Ink is low or has run out
  • The paper size and type is not set correctly
  • Paper has run out
  • The Output Tray is closed

MP 780 DOESN'T PRINT

Try printing something in a colored font, like red or green and see what happens. This printer uses two black ink cartridges. It uses the larger one for black text printing. If it is dry, blocked, or damaged, your text (usually black) will not print. Changing to a color font will rule that out.

Good luck.
