Yes it can. you have to slice and solder the wires together and wrap tightly with vinyl electrical tape. if your not familiar with soldering you can have it repaired at your local repair center.

I accidently cut the electrical cord while using the black and Decker hedge trimmer TR116, now its not starting.

Did it cut it all the way through.? Have you repaired it? Has it been repaired adequately? Check it hasn't blown the fuse in the plug when it was cut, protecting the circuit.

B&D Hedge Trimmer (HT33) was working yesterday but not today. Motor sounds fine & the blades move back & forth ... just not cutting any foliage ... any ideas?

Mechanical issue. Make sure that the screw that holds the moving blades up against the non moving blade is adjusted properly. If loose, the blades will not be close together during the cutting stroke and no cutting will ensue.

I have cut the extension cord when using a ryobi RHT-600R hedge trimmer. It now won't work when using a new cord. Is there something I need to reset?

Was it plugged in to an outside receptacle? If so are you trying to plug into it after new cord? Try a different receptacles if you want to be sure go inside the house and plug it in. Try it. If it works. The outside recepticles are on a GFCI circuit an have a test and reset button on it reset it if it does not work check the panel box for a trip breaker turn it all the way off then on again to reset breaker.

Cut the electrical cord on craftsman electric hedge trimmer. Does not run. Is there a reset ?

NO, no reset. The only thing causing it to NOT RUN is an OPEN circuit condition caused by the cut wire, OR an IMPROPERLY made splice, OR improper replacement of the cord!!!!!

Get somebody that KNOWS what s/he is doing to replace the damaged cord.

Electric motor stopped after cutting power cord

did you hook the wires back up correctly ???... did you pop the circuit breaker ???... then yes, you did. no probably not yet but that would take some internal checking. after checking, no parts are available... throw it away my friend

My homelite electric 22" shrub

That must be a pretty thick forest there Bella, Sounds like there is a jam somewhere if the thing is that new just take it back where you purchased it and they have to give you a new one or at least fix it the customer is always rite remember that..... I you tamper with those nuts you could void any possible warranty you might still have.

Motor stopped working (apparently burned out) when hedge cutter was used to cut through some thickish branches- is this worth repairing or should I just buy another one.

If it's truly smoked, than in some cases it might be cheaper to just by a new one. The motor could be close to the same price as a new trimmer but check out websites or maybe even ebay do a little research first.

I cut through the cord by accident, can I buy a replacement wire?

If you are handy, you can do this. Most trimmers some with a very short cord to which you are expected to attach a extension cord. What exactly did you cut? If the short cord that may have come with it ... disassemble the body of the machine and reconnect a shorter (the one you cut) cord. If it was the extension, that is easy. New ends available ar your hardware store.

If there is a trick part,it is in reassembly. Pay attention to how it was configured when you took it apart.

hope this helps
