My speaker wont work

Are the speakers plugged into the light green port on the back of the desktop? Are the speakers turned on?

Check the Audio Sound properties to make sure the volume is turned up and not muted. Click Start/Control Panel and look for Audio or Sound.

You can Right Click on the megaphone at the bottom right near the time to open and check the audio properties.

Check the Audio Properties in the Device Manager to make sure all the drivers are installed and working properly. Click Start/Control Panel then look for System or System and Performance. Open the Device Manager.

Try the VLC Player. it comes with drivers and codec. I have seen it solve Audio Problems when Media Player could not function.

Try using VLC as your player. Go to www.google.com and in the search box type "download vlc" (without the quotes). Look for the Video Lan download from site www.videolan.org/vlc Download and install it. It downloads and installs in 3 minutes or so. It's a very fast player, smooth and it can play just about any type of dvd formats and media. It's totally FREE.

I can not get overdrive to doen load audio books from the libary, it says ''error 0xC00D2751 a problem has occured in the digital rights management component contact microsoft product support. I went to...

Try resetting the DRM (Digital Rights Management) for Windows Media Player. 1. Open the 'Control Panel'.
2. Open 'Folder Options' and select the 'View' tab.
3. Select 'Show hidden files and folders'.
4. Uncheck 'Hide protected operating system files'.
5. In the warning message you receive, click 'Yes'.
6. Click 'OK'.
7. Close the Control Panel
8. Rename the DRM folder to DRM.old.
-C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\ DRM
9. Close this window and open OverDrive Media Console.
10. Go to “Tools > Windows Media Player Security Upgrade”.
If it will not run from the OverDrive Media Console, the security
upgrade may also be run by going to (in Internet Explorer only) the
following site: http://drmlicense.one.microsoft.com/Indivsite
11. Download an OverDrive Audiobook.

Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because there is a problem with digital copy protection between your DVD drive, decoder, and video card. Try installing an updated driver for your video card.

I know this probably doesn't qualify as a 'solution', but try using VLC to play your DVDs instead of Media Player. From what I understand, Media Player has a whole host of issues with DVD playback.

VLC is free and can be downloaded from here:

http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.html

Hope this helps!

I am haveing problems syncing my ipod with windows media player

MediaMonkey is the music manager for serious music collectors and iPod users. Try using it. Its free and i like it better than media player , it does the same thing but better.

My CineDash Media Console will not work anymore. The volume, stop, play, etc. does not work. Not with itunes anymore.

This is the way to get it to work!
Getting the CineDash Media Console and Launch Buttons working
If you have problems with either the CineDash Media Console or Launch buttons then you will be happy to hear that the solution for fixing these is easy!
The first thing that you will need to do is install the “Launch Manager” which can be downloaded off the Acer website. Go to www.acer.com and click the service support, then driver download. Go to your model. Download the Launch Manager here (hosted here) or go to the acer site and find it there. The filename should be “Kilimanjaro_v2.0.00_Vistax32×64_XPx32×64.zip” the version of Launch Manager under the Windows Vista operating system .This will get the Email, Web and Empowering Technology buttons working with their default settings. If you need to change what the buttons do, you can launch the application named “Launch Manager” in the start menu.
Uninstall any previous version of Launch Manager
The solution to my problem was to get the Launch Manager to run in compatibility mode for Windows Vista Service Pack 2.
Unzip. Explore the new folder and right-click Setup.exe.
To do this go to the Launch Manager Install directory (C:\Program Files\Launch Manager ), right-click on “setup.exe”, select the “troubleshoot compatibility” tab, check the “Troubleshoot program” check box and then click “The program worked in earlier versions of Windows but won’t install or run now”. Then select “Windows Vista Service Pack 2”. Then click “Start” program. Now everything should work properly! It will install. But don’t reboot yet!
Now locate and explore the freshly installed folder in your program files directory – (probably C:\Program Files (x86)\Launch Manager or C:\Program Files\Launch Manager depending on if you are running 64-bit or 32-bit)
right-click on “LManager.exe”, select the “troubleshoot compatibility” tab, check the “Troubleshoot program” check box and then click “The program worked in earlier versions of Windows but won’t install or run now”. Then select “Windows Vista Service Pack 2”. Then click “Start” program. Now everything should work properly! It will install.
Reboot and enjoy properly synced volume, and fully functioning buttons.

Windows Media Player is not visible when opened. I don't know how this happened or how to fix it. I use Windows XP Home and have Media Player 11. After I discovered the problem, I downloaded version 11,...

There is a possibility that its running on the background, try to end the process of the program under task manager(Press Crtl+Alt+Del) the go to Processes, look for mmpnscfg.exe, highlight and then click End Process button. Then restart the computer and try again to open Windows Media Player.

Hope this will solve your problem with the media player not opening..
