Re: Ipod Black 80GB
The reason for the exclamation mark is because the song cannot be found. Delete your itunes library then add the songs again. you must have m,oved the location on your pc and itunes has lost track of them
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

The first way is uncheck the songs you want to delete on iTunes and then sync iTunes with ipod again, then the songs you want to delete will lose from iPod.
The second way is use leawo iTransfer to delete songs from iPod, the way is connect iPod to leawo iTransfer, then right click on the music you want to delete from iPod on leawo iTransfer to choose "Delete", then the music will be deleted soon. However, this tool can only work on Windows computer.
There are some mp3 songs that you can add to the iTunes Library but not to the iPod
This is a format issue i believe
if this its your case you should try to get again the mp3 or burn it from th CD again an then try to upload to the iPod
The exclamation mark next to a title in iTunes means that iTunes
cannot locate the song associated with that title (original file cannot
be found). The cause for this is an incorrect setting of iTunes
preferences when copying iPod songs.
Before copying your iPod songs, setup your iTunes preferences as
Open iTunes preferences (in the Edit menu)
Select the Advanced tab.
Make sure the box next to "Copy files to iTunes Music folder when
adding to library" is checked.
there are 2 ways to put content on your ipod. one is making playlists and syncing your ipod..you go to file on the top and create playlist. add songs to the playlist and sync the play list.
another way is to open you itunes with the ipod connected and on the left side you will see 3 sections in the light blue shaded area. the middle section represents you ipod and it's contants, click on music and the music folder will open in a large white window to the right of the blue shaded area. maximize your music folder on your computer so it is in front of itunes. drag and drop songs into the first column of the large white area. drag the song and hold it over the white area, when the border of the white area turns blue drop the song and it wil load onto your ipod. you can do multiple songs by hgilighting the first song pressing the shift key on your keyboard and highlight the last song in the set. left click and hold, drag and drop in the first column of the white area. make sure to watch for thr border to turn blue then drop the songs.
hi if u have all 1800 songs in your computer folder,,,i advise you to connect the ipod to itunes and reset the ipod for factory settings ,then goto file add folders to library browse folders where all your songs located in your computer click ok
now it sud put all songs in music and then sync it to your ipod completely....if u dont see any !mark in itunes music folder then you are good ...your ipod sud have all 1800 songs.
Try it on another computer and if it happens its the ipod.
Or try restalling itunes with the lates version (7.7.1)
If that doesnt work try using a different program for your ipod eg Jriver media center
plug it into your comp and iTunes will unlock it for you This support document also provides additional information on locking and unlocking the iPod. According to Apple, if you have forgotten the code, you can unlock the iPod by doing the following: Connect your iPod to the primary computer you use it with (the first one iPod synced with), and open iTunes. When you disconnect iPod from the computer, it will no longer be locked. If you can't unlock iPod using either [the code or connecting it to the computer you use to manage its songs]. . . you can restore your iPod to factory settings using iPod Updater. Please note that this will erase all data on your iPod. Afterwards, you can add your music and data back to your iPod. If you want to change the primary computer that your iPod is associated with, do this: 1. Restore your iPod. Warning: The restore process cannot be undone. All of your songs and files will be deleted. Always make a backup of your important data. 2. Connect your iPod to the computer that you want to be the primary computer. 3. Open iTunes and synchronize good luck
