No sound

Hello Yellowbones.. First off.. are you sure your cable is plugged into the appropriate jack on the back of your computer? If it is.. then do you have a spare set of speakers that you can plug into that jack to determine if it is teh speakers or the sound card? If you have a set of other speakers, try that first so we can confirm that it is a problem from your ausio driver versus the speaker set itself.. On the assumption that the sound card is the blame.. You may want to verify that hardware is working properly. You shopuld be able to go into the control panel from the Start menu and find Sounds and Audio Device menu.. once you have that.. make sure you do not have your system set to Mute... and then you can select the hardware tab and find your sound card device in the listing.. once you highlight that, it should tell you if your device is working properly or not.. and give you a troubleshooting tab to walk you thru some diagnostics.. You may also select the driver tab and update the driver for your card to see if that resloves the problem too.

Don't forget to check the volume control on the monitor
