It looks like you need to configure your wireless settings .Have you tried configuring settings ?

Uninstall the wireless driver and re- install the driver for wireless with proper updates .

Thanks for using Fixya

Compare all your internet connection settings to the laptops that work well. Mirror your settings to match a laptop's that is working properly.
You might also want to re-install your internet drivers. Go to your Toshiba site. They should have all the drivers for your model.

Can you try with Internet Explorer (IE) to see if it works. It could be proxy setting. Also, are you the only one using wireless? You may want to try hardwire to see if it works instead of wireless. It could be the gateway issue. Try IE or hardwire first to see and we can go from there.

If you had it connected by wire, check the side of the computer for a switch. This will torn on your wireless connection.

Problem connecting to router

Log into the Belkin router and make sure that the DHCP services are running. If it is, and you still are not getting addresses, perform a factory reset of the router. There is a link in the web management console to do this.

One of five PCs not connecting to Belkin 54G router

I would connect it to the router using a lan cable to verify that it will get a IP address and connect to the internet. Write down the IP information and make a static wireless connection with that info. It should work hardwired and wirelessly with this info. If it doesn't work wirelessly you may have a bad wireless card or you may find that their is already conflicting static IP info in the connection that has to be removed. Make sure that on your internet protocol (TCP/IP) properties that you have selected "Obtain an IP address automatically" and Obtain DNS server address automatically". Clear any settings that you may see there.

Hi there.
If the other laptop is connecting fine then the problem lies with your laptop, possible bad drivers.
This method will hard reset the wireless drivers back to default settings.
What i want you to do is right click "computer" select "manage" and then "device manager", a list will populate, then click on the + sign next to "network adapters" and right click on the wireless adapter and "un-install" the device, reboot the PC and wait for windows to detect the wireless card and install the drivers for it, this will appear in the system tray (bottom right hand side) when its done try to connect again.

keep me informed please as a download of the drivers may be required.

Good luck

Keeps dropping wireless network

I had the same problem. My solution was calling my internet service provider to see if the modem was reading. It turned out that it was fried. Once we got the new one set up, everything went/is going smooth.

Wireless setup

Hi, tried to check the specs of your laptop P4/P111 anyway there was no mention of a wireless built into your laptop so if you want to use it wirelessly then purchase a wireless pc card if your laptop has a pcmcia port in it .If not then buy a usb wireless adapter, either one will work.Hope you have a wireless router installed in your house.
