During the boot process tap the f8 button three times this will boot into safe mode where the only things working will be your mouse and keyboard enabling you to attempt to repair your computer Advanced Boot Options screen appears.

Select the Safe Mode option using the up and down arrow keys, then press the ENTER key. Choose "Windows XP Home/Professional", depending on the version of the operating system.

Press ENTER. Shortly, the welcome screen should show.
Log in as "Administrator". Click Yes to not use System Restore Mode.

Click the Start button. Choose Run and type in "control user passwords" (without the quotes). Click OK.

Select the "Administrator" user. Click Change my password. Enter a new password in the corresponding text boxes. Click OK. Write this password down and store it in a secure place Close the User Accounts window and restart Windows.
hope this helps you

Why won't my oovoo log in :'(

Ensure that you have the correct user name and password. If you forget your username have oovoo send your the credentials using the "the forgot password". If that does not work not create a new account and just add your friends and family on the new account.

Tip

Bypass Windows Vista password

One of the cornerstones of Windows Vista is security. Vista comes with User Account Control (UAC) system, firewall protection against malware, spyware, phishing filter, automatic updates, and, of course, that the procedure for logging into your account and password. All this is a great security and gives you peace of mind knowing that your system is protected, surfing the Internet.
However, if you're the only one who ever used the Windows Vista system in your home? Have you ever wanted to do it so that you to bypass the logon Windows Vista, and get right to work? There is a way that this task with a hidden tool called the Advanced User Accounts Control Panel to run.
In this release, Windows Vista Report, I'll show you how to circumvent the access and use of additional user accounts in Control Panel, Windows Vista logon procedure and essentially configure Vista to automatically log on when you turn on the system.
Accessing the hidden tool To access the hidden Advanced User Accounts Control Panel, click the Start button, type “Control Userpasswords2′ in the Start Search box, as shown in Figure A, and press [Enter]. When you do, you’ll encounter a UAC dialog box and will need to respond accordingly.
Figure A 1_thumb.png To access the hidden Advanced User Accounts Control Panel, you’ll type Control Userpasswords2 in the Start Search box. In a moment, you’ll see the Advanced User Accounts Control Panel, as shown in Figure B. (As you can see, the dialog box is simply titled User Accounts.)
Figure B 2_thumb.png The dialog box for the Advanced User Accounts Control Panel is simply titled User Accounts. Configuring the automatic log on To configure the automatic log on, select your user name in the Users For This Computer list, if it isn’t already selected. Then clear the Users Must Enter A User Name And Password To Use This Computer check box. When you do so, your Advanced User Accounts Control Panel will look like the one in Figure C. To continue, click OK.
Figure C 3_thumb.png Once you clear the Users Must Enter A User Name And Password To Use This Computer check box, the Users For This Computer list becomes unavailable. As the last step in configuring the automatic log on, you’ll see the Automatically Log On dialog box, shown in Figure D, and will need to type your password in both the Password and Confirm Password text boxes. To complete the operation, click OK.
Figure D 4_thumb.png You’ll be prompted to type your password in the Automatically Log On dialog box. To test your Automatic log on, simply restart your computer. When you do, Windows Vista should automatically log you on.
What’s your take? Now that you know how to access the Advanced User Accounts Control Panel and enable the automatic log on feature, will you do so? Please drop by the Discussion Area and let us in on your thoughts.
Finally Solution
I usually used the cheapest and easy to use tools, especitally free trial: like Windows Password Recovery tool 3.0 to reset Windows Vista password.

My username is 4 numbers. It won't let me log in saying I don't have enough characters. How can I log in or change my username so I can log in?

go into the log in page - hit "forgot user ID" - they will email you a new one or email you a link to pick a new one - use at least 8 characters. Then go back to log in enter & enter your new user name. Try your old password - if that doesn't work, hit "forgot password" & they'll let you reset.

How to change wifi name in router

You'll need to log onto your router, your manual should give you the address. I just type router into my browser
http://www.routerlogin.net/

Once logged in, you can change name, password & other information about security and such.

If you haven't set your user name/password, you'll find it in the owners manual. This is usually, "admin" for user name, and "password" for the password in some netgear models. Your manual should tell you.

Good luck.

I can't log in to the user based utility. Need a valid user name and password to access.

Is this your computer? If so, why not reset the windows password?
The easiest way to reset a forgotten Windows password I ever use is to use Windows Password Reset ,just a few steps:
Step 1: Download and install Windows Password Reset
Step 2: Burn Windows Password Reset Std ISO file to CD/DVD
Step 3: Put in your newly created CD and remove your Windows Password.
Hope it can help you.

My lenovo R400 won't recognize my password when I'm trying to log in. How do I fix this?

Are you sure your password was with all lowercase letters? Are you sure that as you type each keystroke registers on the screen? Watch the screen as you type your password slowly and make sure it moves with each keystroke. A bad keyboard will cause a problem with your password. If all the above does not solve it turn off your computer, then turn it on and hit the F8 key repeatedly until you see an option that allows you to log into Safe Mode. Take the Safe Mode Option and when it boots up hopefully and depending on your operating system it will give you a log in for the Administrator and for the user which you forgot the password. Log in as the Administrator and hopefully you have not password protected it. Once you log in successfully go to Start/Control Panel/User Accounts. Once you are in User Accounts, select the user account that you forgot the password for and select the option to Remove Password. Then restart your computer.

I CANT LOG IN AND IT ASKD ME TO TYPE IN A CODE THAT SHOWS UP SO IT WILL LET ME LOG IN AND IS STILL NOT WORKN IT KEEPS GIVING ME DIFFERENT CODES TO USE AS PASSWORDS I KEEP TYPING THEM AND WONT ALLOW ME TO...

I have to assume you mean logging into a web site of some kind.

The 'code' that you type in IS NOT THE PROBLEM. That is only to prove you are human and not a computer trying to access the site.

The Problem is the log in info you are using. The Log In NAME and PASSWORD need to be correct. The extra funny looking info [code] is not the log in info, just human proof.

You may need to follow a link for 'Forgotten Password' or 'Log in name' to help you log in.
Hope this helps.

Yahoo wants me to sign in every time i try to access my mail; how do i get this crazyness to stop?

You can have your computer remember your user name and password whenever you try to log in. You just need to do the following;
1. go to Browsing History under Internet Options
2. delete Cookies, Cache, Temporary Internet files and Password.
3. open IE or any browser log in using your user name and password
4. then there would either be a pop-up or a notification found on top or at the bottom of the screen asking if you'll remember the user name / password.
5. try to log out and close the browser and then open a fresh browser and try to log in and type the user name and password
6. select or put a check mark under the pop-up remember password
