So if I trace the cable back to the power supply I should find an inline fuse somewhere near the end but in the cable itself. Is that correct?

I have the same problem, but don't understand the proposed solutions. Is the fuse in the wire or in the body of the machine? If it is in the "black" part, that is, the receptacle for the power input, how does one pull that out (is it simply pulling, or must one take out the back cover of the machine, or is there some kind of a mechanism that holds the receptacle in place?) Ez

Lavazza Point Espresso machine fuse location.
On the exterior rear of the espresso machine, where the electrical plug connects to the unit there is a small 250v fusible link receptacle behind a plastic cover lid directly to the left of the plug terminal. Disconnect the plug (it is a female connection that can easily pull out) Gently pry open the fuse compartment and remove the two fuses for inspection. The fuse lid door does not open completely. Beware not to damage the lid door by using excessive force. If fuse link is separated, replace it with a new 250v fuse. such item can be found at any hardware store or local radio shack .... H2o4nyc

If you go to the plug and the machine meet. pull out the plug and attached to the machine (where the plug goes into) if you pull this black out of the machine. Located in there are two small fuses', looking at them you will noticed if they are burned out or not. Pick up new ones at home depot.

Seguí el cable del enchufe. Si no encontras el fusible, podés encontrar un cartucho plástico a lo largo de uno de los cables, esto es un fusible aéreo y si lo abris te vas a encontrar con el fusible.

Yes, it's correct. These is a air fuse (fusible aereo)

Open these like a shell and in there is a fuse.

    Good luck

it may be the the back fuses not working or the two thermostat are not working good, or the worst possibility can be the electronic card.

SOURCE: Lavazza point espresso machine no steam

Sounds like a clogged steam pipe or a jammed two-way valve. First, I would try unfolding a small paper clip and then stick it up the spout of the steam pipe. if this does not free up the steaming arm then it is most likely a clogged two way valve. Do not start, no electric

You may find the transformer supplying power to the pcb has gone open, there is a fuse in it that can fail. I have bypassed the dead fuse on many of them in the past. If you don't understand what I have told you then best you do not try doing it, you need to understand where to solder the link. A proper service person familiar with the model should be able to figure it out once you have informed them what the problem is.

DCC-1150 Coffee Maker does not have power

Talked to Cuisinart tech support and they told me to unplug and leave it for 2 hours... that resets it to the factory defaults.
It looks like a thermal fuse might have blown inside your appliance.
If a thermal fuse has failed, there is probably another problem inside.
If the appliance is 4 months old, still cover under manufacturers warranty, Call the Cuisinart customer service to ask them where to find an authorized service center.
Hope this works for you.

Gaggia Platinum Vision no power

You are correct it could be any of the possibilities you have mention.
It is worth checking the two thermal cutouts on top of the boiler.
These can be accessed by removing the top cover only.
If you press the center of the resets and you hear a click you have found the fault

Saeco Vienna Digital does not turn on

Hi
There are a couple of things that might be wrong.
There is a reset button on the thermostat on the back side pof the boiler.
There is a fuse on the power board of the Digital its on the left side of the board.
You have to remove the top to do either and that is fun on the Digital.

Hi,

Is there any lamp lighting or is it dead?

If it is dead then the fuse has to be replaced, if your machine is new then you have a thermostat fuse on the boiler you can reset and if it is a old machine then you have a fuse on a wire.

There are a Saeco service center in Japan.

Braun tassimo no lights

Usually when there are no lights, the AC was cut by one of the thermal fuses on the side of the water heater. One has black wires, the other has white wires. You cannot locate replacement fuses anywhere! They were custom built for Saeco (Braun). If you want, you can buy them at a 1000 qty. I pried off the aluminum cap of the thermal fuses using jewelers screwdrivers. Being careful not to change the face shape. I took the metal disc under the cap off and popped it back in opposite direction. I replaced the metal disk (BE SURE THE INSULATOR UNDER THE DISK IS PUT BACK IN, IT INSULATES THE VOLTAGE). I replaced the aluminum top, crimp two edges to hold. Then checked to be sure none of the terminals were conductive to the aluminum face.

These fuses are similar in construction to resettable thermal breakers, but the metal strap in the coffee maker does not allow room for the reset button.
